I love my tattoos - what ink do you have/would like to get?

I'm thinking I might get rid of my first tattoo.  I've got a butterfly on my foot.  It has a lot of meaning to me and if it weren't for being trans I'd never consider getting rid of it, but it's just too girly.

If they ever perfect UV tattoos I'm getting the dark mark on my left forearm.

If it's alright, then you're all wrong.
Why bounce around to the same damn song?

LOL, awesome.  I have drawn that on myself as well as the Rebel Alliance symbol... :P

This is my dragons head tattoo, the photo was taken a few years ago so am wearing girly clothes in it.  My next tattoo I plan to get is The Seal of Rassilon from Dr Who, yeah I know I'm a nerd lol.

Maybe at some point I'll have a tattoo, but I would need to find an artist up to my standards first and it would probably be dragon-related. I just really like dragons. Probably won't though, doesn't really look to be the kind of thing for me.

Nathan.

I have no tattoos at the moment but I want some. I'm holding off until i'm 100% sure what I want, although i'm pretty sure I want a phoenix on my left calf.  Just need to find an artist that I like.

I don't have any, and I don't have any plans to get one.  For the most part I don't really care for them, but if I ever were to get one this is what it would be. :D

LOL Farm Boy!  My partner has that exact tat on his left shoulder blade. Yes, another Star Wars nut.

I have only two quite small tats at the mo', and quite girly.  I have a baroque motif on my right upper arm and baroque curly-wurly things on my lower abdomen.  I want a half sleeve of a phoenix, just to remind me to bloody well get up and get on with it when I am feeling all angsty and hopeless.

I just LOVE tattoos but don't have any yet...  :(

I wanted to get my first tattoo this summer, but I just can't find the perfect design.
I want black and white dragon on my leg.
That's the best place, for now.
Hope that one day I would have a huge one across my chest and back.  ;D

I also have a couple of more ideas, but I'm still thinking about them...

I'd really like to have one someday, and I'm considering a tattooing apprenticeship for when I'm older- since drawing is about the only thing I'm god at, and enjoy doing. I'd want something really intricate, going up from my left wrist to my left shoulder, possibly spreading onto my back. A sleeve, basically. I'm not sure on what I actually want though, but *I* want to design it.

Between Names

The Star Wars rebel tat and the Seal of Rassilon are SO COOL.  They're kind of tempting, and I've never really wanted a tattoo. :D

A Star Wars tat would be awesome, but I'm just starting to get really into Star Wars.  I just watched the old movies for the first time a few weeks ago, although I've loved the new movies since they came out and I still love them (my computer background, google background and all my MSN backgrounds are Anakin Skywaker/Darth Vader).  The Jedi symbol would be pretty cool, but I think I'll hold off.

I got my first tattoo three or four days after my 18th birthday.

That is the runic symbol for Dagaz. Everywhere you look, it has a different meaning. But the common theme I see with this rune is "change", whether it be positive or simply salvaging something out of an otherwise negative situation. My ex use to read runes (much in the way some people read tarot cards). The way he read them, I had to "ask" the runes a question and a rune would be drawn for me to descifer for myself what the answer was suppose to mean. My ex was not in support of my transitioning, and I asked the runes about whether I should honour his wishes to stay physically female, or actually transition. That was the rune that was drawn. I took it as a sign, and that rune has a special meaning to me.

Other than that one that I have, I plan on having a bunch of zombie-themed tattoos. I want a bite mark, I want a tattoo on my ribs to make it look like my flesh had been torn off to reveal ribs, I want a tattoo around one of my calves to look like my leg had been sewn back on after being severed, and I want an old-school pin up girl who has been modified to look like a zombie.

Nice tatt, Yakshini - it's colours are really striking.

I have six.
    1) East Wind Dancer written on my left wrist in Japanese
    2) The two bees from the Brentford FC club crest on my shoulder
    3) 4 stars on my right wrist, each with the Italy flag in (to celebrate Italy's 4 world cup wins)
    4) El-ahrairah from Watership Down on my lower back
    5) A winged unicorn on the other side of my lower back
    6) The aforementioned Seal of Rassilon from Doctor Who with a load of other Gallifreyan writing around it (this joins up the unicorn and the rabbit)

Eventually I want to have the whole of my lower back covered with parts drifting round the side onto my stomach.  But it will be a gradual process.  My next tattoos are going to be a winged hourglass from the Good Omens book just under my Japanese writing and two lines of poetry on my arm:

"But I have promises to keep
And miles to go before I sleep"

from the beautiful poem Stopping by woods on a snowy evening by Robert Frost.  I am mad on tattoos

You know, while reading that, I got chills all over. That is the awesomest  to get a tat that I've heard yet. I love things like this. I just can't even express how cool reading this was for me...I'm a bit weird when it comes to things like this anyway..I love that you got the very Rune that you needed to see...

I'm glad you got so much out of it! I use to be a heavy advocate of getting tattoos of things that have special meaning to you, so I wanted my first tattoo that meant something. Although now I just want all sorts of tattoos (but I still advocate people not just picking anything that 'looks cool' to have it on their body forever).
