The last few weeks I've had a couple of encounters at a local taco house that can only be described as bizarre.  I order the same meal every time I eat there.  A taco pizza.  Last week when I was walking to the counter the lady said loudly, "I see the taco pizza lady has arrived."  I was wearing a suit and tie and had a small goatee.  Just as I was about to say something, her elderly mother walked up to the counter.  So, today I stop in again for taco pizza.  The lady's niece is learning how to use the cash register.  The lady prompts the niece to "ask her if it's debit or credit," "ask her if she wants a receipt."  The niece is looking at me as if to say, "I thought you were a boy."  While waiting for my order, the lady asks me if my name is Eric.  WTF!! I told her my name is Alex.  First she uses female pronouns, then asks if my name is Eric.  There's nothing wrong with the name Eric.  But, I have yet to meet any females named Eric.
