This week, in a timely lead-up to Pride, the New York Senate passed the Dignity for All Students Act (DASA), a very specific anti-bullying bill that will make New York's schools safer for all. The language of the bill specifically includes protection from bullying based on sexual orientation and gender identity/expression. It took over a decade to get this passed, but now both senate and house have given it the thumbs up, so it goes to the Governor's desk—Patterson is expected to sign it quickly.

Well. If I can't bully anyone there, I see no reason to travel to New York.

And, dare I say, Harrrumphhh!
