so, I had officially gotten my name change, and well you knwo all fo that ->-bleeped-<- you have to do, inform EVERYONE about the name change.. well check out all of the junk i got done.

I got a new social security card
I have a new id coming in the mail
I have my new birth certificate coming in the mail
I told my bank, and have a new card coming in the mail
I told my school and had it changed
I told my financial aid and had it changed

*phew!* anyway, my next step is sending my dad the documents so he can change my name his insurance, and tell the apartment complex I'm moving into that is has been changed.

so SOON i will be totally done, and I can wipe away the old name and never have to hear it (except for from family and old friends) and I never have to write my old name

I just gotta work on my new signature

Congrats! I just went through all of this, myself, so I know where you're at. I hit a few snags but nothing major. Some places will change your name easily, others require a lot of nonsense, some do it instantly and some take a long time (AAA I'm lookin at you, it's been several weeks now).

I don't know if you need to do this as well, but I had to send letters to the credit reporting agencies as well so that my credit ratings would carry over to my new name.
