You said research, but for what purposes? Are you yourself dealing with questions about gender or are you doing research for some other reason?

Feel free to post your successes/failures, Hopes/dreams.  Ask questions and seek answers. Give and receive advice.

Ah, very true I did not give enough information on exactly what my intentions are on this research of mine... I apologize, Cynthialee for the possible confusion. What I meant was personal research. I'm no author or psychologist ha ha ha.

I just so happened to run into the existence of transsexuals (not cross dressers) on YouTube of all places (Maybe I lived under a rock idk) and it is both very new and exciting for me (I've always felt male). I'm here because i need to know what transitioning is all about in the phycological and physical department. This is all for me to decide if transitioning is for me, so far I'm very confident it is. I'm just in a state of bliss to know I AM NOT THE ONLY ONE who has felt they had been born into the wrong body.  My greatest consern is my family disowning me if i do make the changes (They think homosexuals and such are pedos and crazy evil people *sigh*).

and welcome , i totally...Totally know what you mean when you said you didn't know it was possible , and that you family thinks that way , because..this is exactly what happened/ing with me , i n fact even my whole country thinks like your family heh
although you seem more organized than i am , when i first came here my emotions/questions were all over the place
and it is actually a good resource for information as well as support and friends that you have a lot in common with
enjoy your stay ^_^

Weather you are able to find resolution or decide to transition the people on this site are here to help you come to terms whatever direction you choose.
You are under no pressure to go either direction, that is your call ultimately. And whatever that choice is in the long run you will find support here.
