Well, I made some accounting today regarding to the money I currently have. Steam (an online game delivery service by Valve) is currently offering 3 games with an insane price drop. I have the money in cash, unfortunately neither me or my mom have a credit card (Visa, Master card, AMEX, etc) so I'm screwed unless a friend of mine gives me a help with his dad's card lol.

I could call my dad but, I think it would be silly to ask him for those games, even when it would just be a help to get them with their credit card, and I'd be paying them once I see him lol.

Oh a credit card would be so nice right now!! I keep over drafting my debit card buying clothes and food and makeup that I am in the hole until tomorrow when I get paid.

You can't get a check card (a debit card that works like a credit card, usually Visa)? If you have enough money to open a bank account at any large bank or credit union, you should be able to get a card.

Most banks offer debit cards with a checking account that have a Visa or Mastercard logo on it that you can run like a credit card. Most people are better off without credit cards. If you don't have the money to pay for something, don't buy it. I had two credit cards I defaulted on because they jacked up the interest so high there was no point in continuing to pay. Anyway, as long as you have a debit card with a Visa or Mastercard logo, you just pretend it is a credit card. They will run it that way but it will work as a debit card resulting in the payment just being deducted from your checking account. Good luck.

I had no other option but to call him to see if he could help me to get those games. The plan was the following: explain him that I had the money on cash, but no Visa card, and that I'd give him my steam account information and the games I wished. I'd pay him when I see him, or he could discount it from the money he gives me every month for personal spendings, that way he wouldn't risk his CC account or anything.

In the end, he said no... why? I have no idea, didn't want to push him or anything because he's my dad... funny thing is that he said "I want you to go to the bank and investigate about Visa cards, I'll open you one linked to my account so you can make that kind of spendings". Yes, it's weird... and no, he's a very, I mean VERY responsible guy with money and financial things. 

Heck, he's an excellent businessman! he has NEVER made a late payment on any card or loan for his business, and apparently he even passes all the requirements for an American Express Centurion card... except for the minimum amount of money needed (around 150 million USD according to a couple of sources... but I'm not sure on that.. I guess I'll look for it).

So, I got no games... but now I'm getting a Visa? lolwut?

Both Mastercard and Visa do CASH pre-pay credit cards. You can buy them in shops and other places. You charge them up by pre paying cash into them and then spend it online. As far as the recipient knows it is just an ordinary mastercard, the only difference is that you have to put the cash in BEFORE you can spend it. They are supplied by various banks and financial organisations. I think western union do one.

Just google prepaid credit card.

There are no cards like those here in Mexico, I've already looked for them a long time ago without any luck :/

Yay, I was paid yesterday! ^^ I now havehad money. Just went shopping with a girl from work. Bought face products, mouse, bronzer, powder, and then she pierced my ears with some pretty pink fake diamond 24 carrot gold earrings.
