I started hormone therapy February 27 2009. Now I'll be under the knife of Dr. Marci Bowers in Trinidad, Colorado in just two weeks. Excitement obliges Sarah to post this and share it with people.  :D

Congratulations!

This is where the roller coaster really picks up speed.

Enjoy the ride!

You felt my excitement? For some reason I was actually holding back in that post. A more accurate one would contain BACKFLIPS AND PARTY DANCING AND PIZZA, I LOVE PIZZA, AND YEAH!!

.. Sarah gets hyper when happy. And obviously loves pizza.  ;)

This is the life-changing experience I though would never happen, and is now just barely 2 weeks away! Yet I feel empty at the same time I am excited... I need support, and friendly company in the days leading to this, to really feel better. I want to always remember this time. My boyfriend will be right there with me in Colorado during the whole thing, too!

I get hyper when happy too. If you've seen Invader Zim, think Gir. If not, you should.

I have this strange thing, where I feel how others feel, even through written (or typed) words. It's not always a good thing. 'Tis neat in this case though.

Again, Congratulations!! You GROW girl!!

Hi Sarah

I would say your journey will be just like a bullet train on a roller coaster, you will not notice the time flying by.  Yes this is a life changing experience, one you will never ever forget as I have never forgotten mine.

Take care all the best for the future and congratulations.

Kind regards
Sarah B

Cold pizza? I do like some cold pizza, but don't go out of my way to eat it; I usually prefer to heat it up. But I can enjoy some pizza cold. I love pizza. ...*hungry*

AND thank you everyone!! Sarah's not sure what to do with herself in all the excitement! I'm like a hamster on a little wheel and I'm gonna set fire to my wood chips with the friction caused by my excitement!

Congratulations Sarah! It's such an indescribable, wonderful feeling and you're allowed to act as young as you feel. I'd be doing backflips myself but I'm way too sore at the moment lol Best Wishes!

Suigeniris, Dr. McGinn is *awesome*. She will take very good care of you, count on it.

Congratulations, Sarah! :icon_dance:  The time will fly by.  I was numb and excited and unbelieving and happy and anticipatory.

I'm more than three times your age and it turned me into a little girl, too.  Good thing you will have your bf with you.  That's wonderful.  I'm a Bowers girl, too (last April).  I found the hospital and office staff wonderful.

Go girl! :eusa_dance:
