i mean people one take as the most seriously close friends , might be a sibling or a close friend , i found myself doing a similar pattern and feeling the same towards both my brother's and sister's SO's . like , i feel honestly happy for them but just sometimes i get the feeling that ..like...they are taking them away from me? idk something like that , it's not a strong feeling but causing me to not being able to really like them , i mean the weird thing is that both of them used to be my best friends , now for some reason i don't like being around them that much (the SO's i mean of course)

could it be jealousy of some sort? does anyone have or had a somehow similar feeling or am i being a freak?

Heh. I don't know. I don't really feel like people my friends date are taking them away from me in most cases. Still, except in the case of my best friends Crystal & Jerry, I tend not to like the significant others. Most of my friends are female though, & I tend to clash with males for some reason. I wonder if more of my friends were dating women if I might not have this issue.

I've only had that.. Twice.
And both times, it was a clingy SO who didn't allow their partners any self-time, or even their own opinion.
Too bad I fell out with both friends, as well, over time... The first one proved to be controlling and even blackmailing after a few years (Gosh; I didn't see that coming!) and the second one simply broke off contact because their SO didn't want them to hang out with the rest of the scooby-gang, anymore.

On the whole, I tend to get on with my friend's SO's pretty well, and even count them among my friends pretty quickly, even keeping in touch if relationships fail.

Oh, I forgot this one friend of mine.. She used to date someone I grew to despise, but I only met him after their relationship broke down. So he doesn't count.

The old song is "Wedding Bells Are Breaking Up That Old Gang Of Mine."  More modern:

All my rowdy friends have settled down and it seems to be more in the laid back songs.
Nobody wants to get drunk and get loud.Everybody just wants to go back home.
I myself have seen my wilder days and I have seen my name at the top of the page,
but I need to find a friend just to run around. But no one wants to get high on the town
and all my rowdy friends have settled down.
FIGHT APATHY!, or don't...

I think Tekla pretty much hit the nail on the head here.
I'll add: yes SO's can suck and sometimes it's worthwhile to kick them in the kneecap especially if that means your friend/sibling will hate you for it and then it's over and done with... But, since that's not really the 'happy ending' kind of thing all I can say is 'It's just one of those conspiracies between life and people and there's just to deal with it'.
