I used to have fairly long hair.  I chopped it all off back in March.  It wasn't that I didn't like having long hair but I never did anything with it except pull it back so I decided heck with it.  Now that summer is here having it short is great.

I'm finally figuring out how to volumize mine. I'm in this in between stage where it's not short enough to do my old styles but it's not long enough to even do a real pony tail yet. Feeling pretty good about the new style...now to get it back down to 30 minutes:

Grin and bear it:)  Although sometimes long hair is quite cooling, when it's down you can fling it around, and it's great for using as shade during electrolysis.

Jerica, I love your hairstyle and you look really good!

Thick, round brushes are really good for volume.

I've had a buzz cut for several years and just now letting it grow out.  Now it is a "long"  2 finger widths and my favor commented how he liked it the other day because, using a deep tone, "it looks more macho!).  I couldn't believe he said that!  I would think a short buzz cut would make me look more macho like I was joining the army or something, not letting my hair grow out.  I so wanted to cut my hair all off to spite him, but I didn't  I want it to grow past my ears and then ask him if he thinks it looks macho (he would never let me have my hair longer than midway down my ears when I was a kid).  I swear, sometimes I think he is getting senile!  Oh well, he has always been the most insensitive person I've known - I guess he can't help it.

Thanks =) My hair went kind of flat today. I forgot to put mousse in, oops. Ah well, there's always tomorrow

What type of mousse do you use?  I'm always looking for a good type that (hopefully) won't weigh my hair down.

Umm well I tried a Volumizing one by Dove and most recently one by Herbal Essence for curls. I did think the curling one worked well when I curled all of my hair.

Yesterday I felt like it helped give my hair more body too
