What gender are you in your dreams?

Just like the topic says...what gender are you when you sleep? (By the way, sorry if this is not the right forum for this...)

Sometimes it bothers me because when I dream, I usually am a girl in my dreams. Well, I mean...I'm basically myself as I am. But I take on more feminine roles. It bothers me.

So, what about you all? How do you feel about it?

Mostly genderless. If I am gendered in a dream ussualy I am in transition in the androgyne state, and rarely male or female. When I have male dreams even if it is a good dream it is very disturbing and uncomfortable. When I am female even if it is a scary dream I am pretty mellow and good to go.
So it is said that if you know your enemies and know yourself, you can win a hundred battles without a single loss.
If you only know yourself, but not your opponent, you may win or may lose.
If you know neither yourself nor your enemy, you will always endanger yourself.

I'm normally male in my dreams, though I've had a couple where I'm female.  The female dreams were more confusing but the male dreams are always "horrible" but I love them so much.

I'm normally me in my dreams so female bodied but with a male gender. Occasionally i'm male bodied though, hate those dreams because waking up and realising that I have a female body is depressing.

I used to appear as my stable, male self until I twigged and started accepting who I am - now I appear as a vague blur, or sometimes not at all, which has only just struck me as odd. I've typically always dreamt in the third person, but now it's as though I'm being directed not to see myself.

I suppose it's only natural. I have no idea how I'm going to turn out, just as I could not picture myself as a cisgender man of 20 years back when I was 10; so me noggin's given up on details for now. ;)

I've been both male and female. /shrug

Most of the time though gender doesn't come into play in my dream.

I've got all sorts of points of view in dreams.. Personal, third person, overview, camera..
And to be honest: Whenever I do dream as a 'me,' I'm usually female. Only very rarely male.

Sometimes I have the most vivid dreams of being fully female it seems so real I can feel it, almost like a past life memory

Some start as male, then change to female. It's very distict when it happens. Sometimes just male, maybe 30-40% of the time. The rest female. Never female changing to male. I only remember about 50% of them.
I almost always wake up as female, at least in that half dream state.
Sometimes it sticks all the way to getting a cup of coffee. Then it just slides into the usual 60-40 female/male.

virtually always male - damnit! - at least in the ones where I'm aware of a gender.

But on the other hand, I tend to have a very high percentage of those dreams where you are in a very embarrassing or awkward position  (at school in your underwear for instance) so I always took that as a metaphor for feeling like my appearance was irreparably wrong.

On the other hand, all i remember lately about my dreams is when i have to go pee so bad that i dream about it until it wakes me up. It's got to be the suckiest dream in existence to spend what seems like hours looking for a place to relieve yourself and never finding it or never getting done.

whatever happened to dreaming about getting laid or something?
Disclaimer: due to serious injury, most of my posts are made via Dragon Dictation which sometimes butchers grammar and mis-hears my words. I'm also too lazy to closely proof-read which means some of my comments will seem strange.

I rarely remember dreams, but I have actually remembered several recently and they have all had a similar theme, which had me, female, visiting close acquaintances from my past that I've lost track of one way or another, and just explaining all I've been through with this gender situation.  Each dream had me visiting a different person.

Weird..

Obviously my subconscious is working through something there.  It may be time for me to start doing this IRL, I dunno.

since of last month I've been in my transition state in my dreams as in my voice is now different in them and I have my boobs.

it was a big thing for me :)

Other than that sometimes I'm further along in my transition ie full-time and the dreams are set "20 minutes into the future"

You know how in a first-person shooter, you sometimes catch a glimpse of your combat boots if you look down, or else a bit of boobage, but mostly you're just hell-bent on KILLING?
Yeah, I guess that about covers it.  ;D

To be honest, I have absolutely no clue what gender I am in my dreams because I never see myself in my dreams! o.O In my dreams, I see everything through my eyes, yet my body doesn't exist. It's so weird...

Female...or it's a nightmare where I'm male and I can never change...

I don't remember a lot of dreams, but I have the fleeting feeling of remembering myself being male in most of the ones where I'm not aware of being trans.

I have a lot of detransition nightmares where my hair falls out, or my beard grows back, or I get outed in some horrible way. In those dreams, I am of course, myself.

Last night I had a very long dream where I was a little girl on the run from the law, constantly evading everything while stealing what i needed to get around. That was amusing.

When I dream I am either wearing items of female
clothing as a male or actually female.

The interesting thing is that when male, I am almost
always at work, with people I know, and totally
accepted, even when I feel uneasy or embarassed.

Dreaming as a woman usually finds me in a fantasy
oriental setting in Japanese dress.
