Hiya, yes I have, so cool, not very swollen and it looks really neat. My surgeon came in today again to see me and he said it was a nice result, talk about boasting, lol. Still needs to settle down a lot though. I only saw it because they decided to change the dressing and asked if I wanted to see so they got my mirror and I said, OMG that looks really neat. I am so pleased with the aesthetics even now without the months of healing.

Only one problem my catheter came out and had to be put back in, owwww.

How are you?

Stardust

I'M good hun. i know what you mean. i saw mines today when they did the dressing change and i was blown away lol. i saw the clit, they said everything is turning out good.

So awesome! I'm so glad to see this... can't believe I missed it a few days ago. Congrats!

Which surgeon did you choose if you don't mind me asking?

Hiya, I live in the UK and so Mr Philip Thomas was my surgeon at the Nuffield, Brighton, as they say like a 5 star hotel and the staff are fantastic. I think UK surgeons get missed as a possible. I had funding from the NHS so it was all paid for. He has private patients as well so I figured if people were willing to pay that must count for something. I also spoke to a number of girls both private and NHS about the outcome of their surgery. He was also very helpful at my consultation and I was very specific about the aesthetics and being sensate. Well I don't know about the sensate yet, lol but the appearance is cool even now which isn't a good indicator. I also got a reasonable depth of 5 inches considering I was more concerned about the above than depth. He is also one of the cheaper surgeons here around £10,000/$15500 I think but don't quote me, lol.

Hope that helps

Hiya,

Its been the worst of times and the best of times. I have been really light headed today but this has subsided this evening. I had my pack removed today and I have dilated twice and douched once. Its then a three times a day routine for me from tomorrow. I am due out Thursday, I hope.

I have a little urethral bleed but that's all. Its the light headedness that has put me back a little today as I so much wanted to walk around but couldn't until this evening.

How are you doing?

Hey Stardust,
                        Congratulations Sis.
I too went to the Nuffield in Brighton. Mr. Thomas's mentor did mine back in 2000. Michael Royle.
I agree about the UK docs. Royle did exceptional work as I am sure Thomas does.
As for treatment at the hospital. 5 star all the way. I didn't want to leave it was that cushy.

    Congrats again Sis.

Hi all,

Just an update. I was discharged on Thursday and it was touch and go. I have had problems peeing and had/have to strain to pee. I was not emptying my bladder properly and I was really down and felt like hell. I didn't want to drink because it hurt so much to pee. Anyway they did a couple of scans on my bladder on Thursday (was supposed to be discharged at 10am and it was 1.30pm) and they were satisfied I was emptying it enough to go home without a catheter in, phew.

Things are a little easier but there are time when it still feels tight. I had problems with the catheter while in hospital. The balloon deflated and they still put it back in because they thought it was working. My urethra by then was bleeding. I woke at 9pm saying I still didn't think it was OK this was on the Tuesday night. By 5am Wednesday morning I was in agony and they decided to take the catheter out and see what was wrong and discovered it was not working properly (I told them that hours ago).  Anyway they tried to get hold of the surgeon and It was eventually solved but it was a good 18hours and had these consequences now on my peeing. I had not moved my bowls either for six days and that too was pushing on my bladder causing me to have to strain to pee.

By this time I had begun to think I had made the wrong decision to have GRS/SRS. I was climbing the walls. I'm now staying with a friend for a month and she's helping me recuperate before going home to my house. I now sitting here with several dilations under my belt thinking how great life is. It was not an easy birth, lol. Nevertheless life is good and only time is needed to heal fully.

This now is so wonderful I cannot describe how it feels apart from the word "complete."

Hey Stardust

good to hear you are on the mend.

Sadly problems like that seem to be quite common - I think I've been lucky not to have them on either occasion.

Don't forget our coffee appointment - if you fell strong enough.

I can be free on most days with a bit of prior notice...

Heal well and take care

Jenny x.
