Sorry if this is in the wrong place, I didnt really know where to put it.

Is it just me or has the whole Raoul Moat thing (If you don't know what that is the bbc should have extensive info on it on their website) made everyone insane. The man shot his ex-girlfriend and her new partner dead, then shot and blinded a police man while on the run for a week. It all ended in a 6 hour stand off with the police.

The police shot at him with "experimental" tazer shotguns shortly before he shot himself. The tabloid medias reaction seems to be that the police were at fault for everything that happened and that the use of these tazers was completely wrong. The guy was armed and had already killed two people and attempted to kill a third, if they had used lehal force they would have been justified (if he provoked them in the stand off).

There was also a facebook page claiming the guy was some sort of hero. I just don't get it.

People like a bit of drama, and to most, that is all the story was.
