ZMA?

I came out as trans a few years ago, more recently to my mother and now that I have I'm looking for anything I can do (that isn't steroids or something along those lines) to increase my testosterone levels. I can't afford to start T just yet but hopefully within the next year. I read about ZMA (natural testosterone enhancer) and wondered if anyone had any insight or experience with it?

I don't have any experience with ZMA, but bodybuilding websites and forums are packed with guys trying to increase their testosterone levels.  Just google "bodybuilding," click on the first one, and head over to their forums.  They can point you in the direction of the best testosterone enhancers, just browse the threads.  Don't out yourself on the forums though, the majority of those muscle-heads are not LGBT-friendly!  Alternately, PM me if you'd like and I can send you some links! :)

Not all of the T boosters boost T enough in us to do much...and alot of the supps are more expensive than T. I know some online compounding pharmacies can be as low as $50 for 5 months of T so you may be able to afford it if you look into it.

ZMA is pretty much a vitamin. Zinc, magnesium, and B6 are the ingredients. Major studies that have been done about ZMA are mixed with two saying it does not increase T, and one saying it does increase T.

Quicksand: That's a good idea, I know I had originally done that but could mostly only find specifically steroid suggestions. I was rushing through them though so I'll take a more thorough look at some of the sites.

Zombies: A great suggestion, I'm hoping to be able to use my next student loans to see a psychiatrist and get my letter to start T I will definitely be checking the web for cheaper online pharmacies

Nygeel: Yeah that's the conclusion I kept coming to. I guess in short it wouldn't hurt to give it a shot in the meantime at least

I did some amature body building almost two years ago and I used ZMA, DHEA, and Tribulus along with Maca root and other potential T boosters, and all in all they wernt worth a penny I spent.  The best thing out there is a good protein shake and a lot of heavy lifting.  Nothing really boosts your testosterone except for testosterone. 

If I still had the time to lift like I used to I would only use the ZMA simply beause it helped me fall asleep and stay asleep, past that I never noticed any changes.

Hey scotty yeah about a year ago I was lifting weights and spending 2 hours a day working out (for school) in a gym with full equipment and I agree. Nothing better than that plus it feels pretty awesome knowing you can lift all that weight. Over the last year I've had a lot of drama going on. Now that I am out of high school my mother offered to pay for me to join her at the ymca as her workout buddy but I'm nervous about the locker room situation so I've told her I need some time to consider it.

I never went to any other gym other than the school's gym as well.  I eventually just bought free weights for home use.  I learned it doesn't matter how many weights you can lift if you cannot lift your own body.  I enjoyed only using by body as my weights, there are some very challenging work outs that only use your body and balance.  At one point I began doing vertical pushups without using a wall as a balance.  That was fun stuff.

I would suggest you not push the locker room issue and simply find some nice body weight work outs, or purchasing some free weights to use at home, especially if money is tight.  I refuse to go into a girls locker room, and only use unisex bathrooms even though I pass completely.  Pills wont help much to make you more masculin, but muscles do.  Deffinatly keep working out Alex, its the best thing you could do.
