I wish they'd showed more of Voldemort's memories ...

Crap.  Meant for that to read memories about Voldemort...think I should've headed to bed a couple hours ago, heh.

I read the books, don't think much of the films though. A bit worried about the last book being split in two, it is so uneventful there are some chapters in the middle when Harry, Ron and Hermione are arguing that nothing is happening.

lol.  It's all right, when I read that last night I was like "I don't remember Voldemort's memories....but I can't remember whose memories...".  I would have believed you if you said "Voldemort's memories" to back you up, staying up late isn't my strong suit.

movie just sorta spoils the story(and i mean all of H.P. movies) ,i mean regardless of the lots of essential details they don't include ,and inspite of the fancey graphics, i think it's poorly directed , the director didn't properly take advantage of the emotional situations , besides the guy who does harry potter is sorta bad actor and a bi cold imho . uh if only they let me do it ::)

He is a bit of a bad actor, though in the sixth film he was great especially with the giant spider.  There was even a Monty Python reference!  It was great.

I know people who refuse to read the books until the movies are done because that way the books will just enhance the movies instead of the movies taking away from the books.

yup , but i'm one of those who think that if you watch the movie before reading the book it would spoil the ending for you and hence spoils the fun of reading the awesome story
but still , if they let me direct the movie i'd have made one that's even better than the story *says with a egomaniac voice*

Assuming they do the ending right...Which I really hope they don't in the movies because the ending in the books was a bit lame.

Really, now?  In what ways better?

>> I'd have chosen a better actor for Harry...and I'd have butchered the ending of the 7th book 'cause I don't like the ending.

agreed ,ending was a bit lame , i mean the idea itself (spoiler alert!) that harry was horcrux was cool , but last sceen , as well as the way he met dumbledore was blah

in the oher hand in my series of movies , i'd push the actors into performing better , lie in the fifth movie when H.P used cruciatus on pilatrix , DUDE she just murdured your only family ,show more enthuthiasm at least ,plus i'd add ntensly anger/danger music and let the curse last for more tha 0.5 second
and basically show more of reasons and stories behind everything , plus more of the substracted characters , emphasis on things such as school stuff and the little things through out their life that are similar to the childhood memories and current life of most people , so that people connect more with the movie , use of more interesing camera angles (such as bird eye , or focus on the further character while showing a single tear on the cheeck of he closer, blurry, neglected character) , maing nevel longbottom develope into a talented  wizard after emphasising on his story of gettig over his parents tragedy instead of just an overly emotional person (even after he made the little revolution) . anyway , a lot of little modifications  to the story , and the style of direction , i'd have made sure that the movie stimulates empathy and raging tears with he help of right implementation of music ,sequence of events , acting itself and camera angles
and of course , the ending would be more epic , maybe even let harry sacrfice himself to kill voldemort and then his spirit stays in the school to tell the story to all coming generations so it won't be a very sad ending , and then give the ending that says that the story will go on by another prophecey by another wizard , maybe this time it would be a girl H.P ;D

*shudders* I don't like female main characters, none of them have ever been good.

Spoiler

Well...Neville did become a professor of Herbology, so he couldn't have been too bad of a wizard...and I liked the meeting Dumbledore, though I cried like a baby during that scene.  I personally would have killed both Harry and Voldemort.  I was never a Harry fan, he was always too whiny for me.

*SPOILERS THROUGHOUT*
I'm gonna see them, mostly because I saw all the other ones. After the 3rd one, I said I wouldn't see the fourth, and so on until now, but I guess it doesn't matter. except that before the movies I had images in my head of the characters, and now they're lost. All I can see are the actors. =/
but I'm interested in seeing how they do this. and I feel like there's potential for a good film. like when Ron and Hermione get mad at Harry because they thought he had a plan. I felt so horrible for him and I don't even like the character, and snape's memories (like someone said), and his death, and Doby's death. etc
And someone was saying that the dumbledoor thing was lame. I know what you mean, but there was also something I really liked about it. dumbledoor broken down into a man, instead of an icon. that could be a good scene.
and I didn't like harry during the books, but in the epilogue I kind of liked him. mostly because he was showing reverence for the greatest character of all, snape.
and I'm not necessary against lead females, I just don't like it when they try too hard. like that one chick in the lord of the rings who kills that thing that "no man can kill" and she says all dramatic like "I am no man" or something like that. (sorry is that's a little vague) to me that was ridiculous.

i think female leads are just given the wrong scripts that's all , no one ever written a proper female lead

I remembered a female lead role:  the chick from Resident Evil.  I love Milla Jovovich and the show is awesome!

The whole ending where they become middle class, putney type, 4x4 owning yummy mummy types is such a let down

Witch of Hope

In October or November I can see the first part in my MovieTheatre. BTW, did you think, that one of the characters in the HP Books/Movies(except Dumbledore) could be also gay (Minerva McGonnagall or Gilderoy Lockhart as I presume).

Nope.  Minerva never struck me as the type to possibly be gay and Lockhart always just came off as a pompous prick.
