I've been searching around the forum for supplements that boost testosterone levels and haven't found much that actually goes into detail. The only thing that I found that was explained was "Zinc Magnesium Aspartate" which is usually used to increase metabolism and support muscle growth (from my understanding).

Basically, would you guys mind posting some supplements that boost T levels and just give a brief description of it?

Sorry if my question was unclear and thanks in advance

I've been using DHEA.  If you do a search on the forums for it, you'll find a few threads.

Ah okay, guess I was searching for the wrong thing!

Have you experienced any changed while on DHEA thus far? I am researching side effects now.

Interesting, this is something that I hadn't considered before. I just read briefly about it and it sounds like it could be very useful.

Holy cow this stuffs, DHEA, is super cheap! Does it actually elevate your testosterone level like if you were using a prescription T? Did I discovered hope and affordable ways to transition? Does it have the same effects as it does with T?

This is one thing I found interesting while searching up DHEA http://www.webmd.com/vitamins-supplements/ingredientmono-331-DHEA.aspx?activeIngredientId=331&activeIngredientName=DHEA

As for same effects as testosterone, from what I'm reading and seeing...you won't get the full T effect and something about increasing estrogen level may happen. But there was one guy on here who got some nice peach fuzz/facial hair all on his jaw line from DHEA and ZMA I think.

But do some searching on your own, there are some side effects to it.
QuoteDiscontinue use and consult your doctor if any of the following occur: Dizziness, sleeplessness, tremors, nervousness, headache, heart palpitations, tingling sensations, acne or excessive oiliness, unwanted hair growth, deepening of voice, irritability, fatigue, aggressiveness, menstrual irregularity, mood swings
Also I've been reading that you need to be careful with dosing, nothing over what is on the label..of course that's with every medicine/supplement

I have always heard that DHA boosts the wrong type of testosterone.  The DHT type which causes hair loss, weight gain and other bad side effects without the desirable ones.  Plus raise blood pressure and other unnecessary stresses on your cardiovascular system.  Doctor prescribed T is much easier for your body to handle.

I really hope you don't do anything so radical without at least getting a doctor's opinion.  This stuff is dangerous if abused and could end with you being in real bad shape.  You don't want that right when you are finally figuring out who you want to be.

No, prescription T is definitely stronger, much more so.  I've been on DHEA since January...it has raised my T levels quite a bit, but still in the normal range for a female.  It has also raised my E levels slightly (not nearly as dramatically as the T levels though, thank goodness).  I had bloodtests done to confirm.

I've noticed more hair on my arms...possibly a bit more on my face...more muscle in my arms.  There are potential side effects, I've read it can mess with your liver or thyroid, which is why I don't plan on staying on it long term.  As soon as I can get on T, I'll stop taking it (having to start all over with a new therapist, so hopefully in another three months, but that's a different story.)  I see it as a short-term solution.

I believe DHT cream is used alongside testosterone for extra dick growth. You're only allowed to take it for a couple of months due to side effects.

DHEA doesn't really do anything if you are taking it on its own, you have to stack it with several things to see some serious effects.  And even then stacking does no good if you are not working out.  Lots of working out and lots of protein are the only real way to go.

DHEA is considered a steroid and was about to be banned a few years back with many other steroids, but someone along the way said it was useless and wouldn't let the bill pass unless DHEA was taken off the list.  It is technically the only legal steroid left in the USA that can be bought without a script.  However it is really just a pill full of sugar compared to real T.  You will get very few changing effects, if any at all, and they will be nothing close to what you would get on T.

There are plenty of "testosterone boosters" out there, and you can take all that you want, but nothing is going to happen unless you are taking HUGE amounts, and by the time you start seeing results you would probably be saying goodbye to your kidneys or liver as well.

Besides soy products do you know what else is high in estrogen?
