So as it says, I get off work at 6:50 tonight, so in just over 9 hours from now, then will drive for over 3 to go visit my parents and little sister.

They know I am going to tell them something huge, and that they may or may not accept it. I think my mom knows already, after all she still laughs about how sweet it was for me to give my toys to my little sister.

I don't know how my step-dad will take it, he's always been more of a father figure for me then my real dad. But the one that concerns me the most is my little sister. She's my best friend and means SO much to me. I just hope everything turns out well...

If not, just knowing I have all of you wonderful people to come back to will help me, and my girlfriend is supportive as well which is huge.

Wish me luck please, I need it.

Best of luck... and please let us know how it goes.

Aside from my wife, I've only come out to two close friends (both female) so my experience with this type of situation is very limited, but thankfully they were both were very supportive... I truly wish the same positive response to you in this situation.

It's one of the hardest things you'll ever have to do but once it's done, you'll say, "Oh, that wasn't a quarter as bad as I thought it would be!"

Good luck, girl!!!!!!!!!    ;D

So it went a lot better than I thought it would..

My mom is very accepting, my step dad said that he still loves me.

My lil sister... She doesn't understand how I know I'm a girl since I'm not one, but she doesn't care, she doesn't agree with it but can accept it...

It's much better than I thought.

Tell more tomorrow, typing this on my phone so not easy,

Yea I'm sure she will given time, she even said I can go to her wedding as a bridesmaid! Its in nov.... With as much good news that ive been receiving, I t might be possible to pass by then...

Course I'm being optimistic now, but, everyone that I was worried about telling now knows and is ok with it even if they are worded out some.

who knows, if I can get things together for a trach shave and my hairline fixed I just might take her up on that!

Oh I almost forgot, my mom said my name would of been Gabrial, and, she thought I was going to be a girl, when I came out with a male body I didn't get named for over 24 hours....

Found that really interesting!

Anyways, still only on my phone so will cut this short.

Love you all!

So I spent all morning talking to my mom about this, and we had a pretty amazing talk.

She is honestly ok with this!! I was terrified she'd ask me to leave her house, or be very standoffish with me. But, she completely understood!

So I had said earlier that she had planned to name me Gabrielle, well I decided to ask what my middle name would of been, and when she said Nicole, I had to stop myself from crying.

You see, my girlfriends name, who is going to stand beside me through this WHOLE thing and go with me to surgery, is named Nicole! The therapist I found who I've been going to, her name is Nicole as well!

It just really clicks. I'm not sure if I'll switch to it, but the name Gabrielle Nicole is a beautiful name and the fact that my mom had it picked out for me... I just might!!!

Let's see what other good news do I have, oh yea, my beard is almost completely gone!! The shedding phase has finally started so hopefully here in a week or less I'll finally throw away my face razor!

I decided I'm going to go full girl mode for halloween, it'll let me get a reaction from my co-workers to see how they respond to me, then just go fulltime from there.

I plan to tell my managers a few weeks prior to halloween, let them know the timetable so they can set out any paperwork and place up some policy info where it's visible so that way when the change takes place it won't be so awkward.

Love ya all!

May be a good idea to check company policy and laws in your state regarding transgender so that you know what rights you do and do not have, just in case your company gives you any trouble.

Best wishes - so happy your mom is supporting you.

Oh, I work for Costco!

They have the BEST rules in regards to gender identity! The company doesn't discriminate for any reason and has a zero tolerance rule in regards to it. If anyone was to ever say a single cross word about it they have no problem replacing them.

I've been with them for almost 4 years now, and know that at least my job is 100% secure!
