Just joined the site and a bit of an introduction about myself.
A few individuals know I cross dress but I have not generally come out.
I have never been properly out in public, apart from at a local therapy clinic.
I have been in touch with the Beaumont Society, and have, in the past corresponded with someone in the West Yorkshire area, but at the moment I am not in regular contact with anybody, so maybe this forum might help.
I am still nervous about people I know reading this and outing me.
I sort of, want a definite diagnosis of what I am and why, which I probably not going to get.

I have done on line tests and I have come out, in them, as androgyne- not sure how accurate or scientific these tests are.
I am sexually attracted to genetical females, but do get turned on by male to female transformations, including the thought of it happening to myself.
I do feel more relaxed, at times, in certain female clothes, and do wonder if I would have been happier if I was born female, even with knowing women still get a raw deal in many ways.
Forgive me rambling, sometimes, but It is just nice for someone to express things to, that I can't express to people in everyday life, though I may hint at it from time to time.
The thought of going into a bar and trying to chat up a woman scares me,but does lack of sexual confidence lead to trans feelings in me or visa versa?

I'm new here too and i'm also from the UK.
I'm very close to the city of Bath.
Although i still don't go out fully dressed, "wear my girlie jeans everywhere now though", as the day's go by the thought of being outed becomes less of a concern for me.

The chances of anyone you know reading this is very slim, if any one see's my picture here from where I live i couln't care less anymore.

My neighbour caused me trouble recently, called the police over a minor family squabble, well turned out that the police were very supportive to me and now know that i'm transgendered!

How do you like Kev's quote?  Personally, I love it.  He's got it right. 

Want to get comfortable with yourself and reduce your fear level?  Just hang out at this site, read the forums, read the articles and you'll see that there are lots of people just like you, but you have to come to a worldwide forum like THIS to really grasp that! 

When you're ready to get involved, plunge right in.  We're here for you.  If you just want to lurk for a while, that's cool too.  Your choice.

I sometimes shave my eyebrows, and might deliberatly leave hints of make up, but never ventured out in public, except post letter or to rubbish shute, in a dress or skirt, late at night.
I wish I could look good in female clothes and pass in public, or at least express the Brina side of me in appearance without general negative reaction.
Chances are people will have seen me in Brina mode through my house windows, or as I ocassionally sneaked out.
I have, sort of an image of myself which is a blonde bob, slightly disheveled, hoop earrings, longer dresses and skirts. I have various tops, but a red top with a long denim skirt look I quite like.
With size 11/ 12 feet footware is a problem, and being 6ft probably not suitable for high heels, maybe having to settle for more unisex style footware than more feminine styles.
I am nervous about shopping for female clothes, make up etc, but I have done, but mainly shop on e-bay. Also not on much of a wage.
I have taken photos of myself, but not sure if there is a delay on my digital camera and the camera which I do use with a delay, the flash isn't great. So had head and shoulder shots than head to toe.
I am trying to paint a womanly image on a big hairy, stubbly 20 stone canvas
