A transsexual  who was convicted of waging a five-year spying campaign against her neighbour has been spared jail – after a judge agreed it would be 'too dangerous' for her.

Jan Krause, 46, who was born male, became 'obsessed' with nurse Carol Story, 53, and her three children, and declared she was on a 'war footing' following an argument over a noisy central heating system.

Krause made the family's lives a misery as she recorded their comings and going between 2004 and 2009, but had her twelve-week jail term suspended over concerns for her safety in prison.

No, this is not good.
I can't find information is this woman post-op or pre-op. In case she is post-op she should be incarcerated as any other female. In case she is pre-op but legally female (that is possible in the UK)we have some kind of problem. However the Gender Recognition act of 2004 promises same rights as natal members of the recongnized sex.  She should be put to solitary in female prison that is not so hard to arrange. The ordinary purpose of Gender Recognition Act was also include the incarceration.

I live myself in the country where you can change your legal sex BUT even post-op MTFs who are legally and physically female go to the male prison (Finland).

Yeah well, part of the lawyer's arguments were that enforced solitary confinement for the whole time amounts to excessive punishment.
