It's too bad the media and public can't just leave him alone.  This boy has some serious problems and will never be able to deal with them because he is so famous.  I feel sorry for him.  I really do.

If MJ is really trans, she will have to transition damn near in full view of the public, such is the paparazzi and the nosy public they service.

It will stimulate a HUGE public debate on TG/TS issues.  Granted, many would consider MJ just a freak, but a percentage would have their minds opened up to the issues.

Yes, Cindi, I would not wish it on the person.  MJ will almost certainly go through the most hellish transition any MtF could go through, from a standpoint of the waves and waves of faceless people who will censure MJ for it (church-sponsored "Throw away your MJ CDs for Christ" campaigns, anyone?)

If it is true, I wish MJ the person the best of luck, and hope she continues to entertain the masses (as in CDs and concerts) after she completes transition.

Maybe because the Matrix rocks and people think MJ is a child molester. OMG if he/she came out as a TS people are going to think TS are child molesters and run Fantasy Ranches for children. I dont think they will be more open to it, just afraid for their children.

It would make sence MJ is trans, he's spent years trying to look like his sister Janet. He is treated like a freak in society though. All one has to do is watch Scary Movie III I think it is where they make fun of him.

Regretably, I think you have hit the nail on the head.  If Michael Jackson is TS, then I fear that all TS will be considered as child molesters.  Either guilty-and-caught, or guilty-and-hasn't-been-caught-yet.  That is how the media and fundamentalist preachers will play it.  Instead of being a boost for us, it could set the transgendered/transexual community back years.

Does anyone actually think MJ is not Transgendered I have thought it for Years ever since he started trying to look like Dianna Ross... There were I remember even stories about him being castrated young to keep the voice high... But I guess the children disprove that one

Madonna hasnt disappeared she is living in the UK where the press seems to be less intrusive.... Until of course they smell a story.

Its weird in the UK the press seem to ignore most 'stars' untill they get wind of some sort of indescretion and then they tear them to pieces..

MJ could probably live quite quietly in the UK if he wanted to.. He could buy a secluded estate and keep him/her self private. The only thing he couldn't do is have childern around him like he seems to want to do... He would have the social services in fits if he did that here.
