Transgender quota in BU unlikely to be filled this year
Muthi-ur-Rahman Siddiqui, Bangalore, August 15, DH News Service:

http://www.deccanherald.com/content/88965/transgender-quota-bu-unlikely-filled.html

As the excitement over the Bangalore University setting a quota for transgenders in its 52 post-graduate disciplines ebbs, the quota is likely to be unused, given the community's low rate of enrollment at the undergraduate level.

According to sources in the university, filling the 52 seats would be a 'huge' task at least in the upcoming academic year.

The University receives applications for its PG programmes from August 12 to 23 without penalty. August 25 is the last date for submitting admission forms with penalty.
