Somehow when I was typing this up it all disappeared, dammit .

I got hired at a job recently, I'll start my first day near the end of the month. It's a full-time position at a fast food restaurant. It isn't the most amazing job in the world, but I've only done random small jobs before and I'm 20, so gimme a break :P. Anyways I'm feeling pretty excited, nervous, and pretty much every emotion right now, just hope I do well there.

The greatest thing about it was that I was hired as Katelyn :). I legally changed my name, and got my SIN (Social Insurance Number, I'm Canadian eh) changed about 1-2 weeks ago. I've been applying to different places for a while now, I'm sort of glad I only found one after getting my SIN changed. I was applying to jobs with the name Katelyn, and was only going to bring up the trans stuff if they offered me a job, I was really dreading bringing it up. "Um well my SIN is going to have this name, just so you know..." and that would instantly clue a person in about the trans stuff (which I really don't want my employer/co-workers to know).

As far as I know at this job they don't have a clue about the trans stuff (or if they do, they aren't showing it , either way works for me). It's a really great feeling. I'm still worried about when I go in for an actual work day, being around people for hours. I'm pretty sure everything will be ok, I just worry a lot.

Congratulations!  You'll be so busy learning the ropes you won't have time to think about being TS.

I take it that they took it back?  If so that is totally BS.

Hugs for the try.  ;)

If I am wrong, YAY.   :eusa_dance: :eusa_clap:
