Since I began my transition I knew I wanted Dr. Bowers to complete my surgery. I have surgery date scheduled with her in November. I'm so excited see her and complete the process and truly be the woman; with the word COMPLETE being the key word. This life changing event is all I have dreamed and prayed for being all my life; since I was 5 years old.

After years of hormones, therapist and actullay living the miracle and blessing of being able to live and work 24/7 as a woman I'm ready, willing, and able to make the finale life saving event AND I FOR ONE WOULD GO ANYWHERE IN THE WORLD TO HAVE DR. MARCI BOWERS COMPLETE MY SRS.

Congrsts on your surgery date. I guess that will be at her new California address.

At this point, hoever, I think it's time to get beyond the verb 'complete'.  SRS in no way completes your life. SRS is just another railroad station one passes through on the way through life. Granted, it is a railroad station in a major city, one in which people change trains and head off in new directions to new experiences; it is not the journey's end.

Have you thought about living your new life, living your truth? Will there be new people in your life? New challenges? Are you ready to give back because there were people, organizations that helped you get to this point?

Maybe you will be ready to become a transactivist or a transadvocate, telling your story in public, walking the halls of Congress, or writing that check to this organization or that. Maybe you will attempt the stealth life. Whatever, there will be a new you on a new train, hurtling or rattling down a new track.

Enjoy and keep growing.

When we walk to the edge of all the light we have and take the step into the darkness of the unknown, we must believe that one of two things will happen. There will be something solid for us to stand on or we will be taught to fly. — Patrick Overton
