Hello to all :)

I'm curious to know if HRT will help me develop curves? I'm not totally flat but need a little more. By me being a genetic female & I'm 33 yrs old now. And I thought since it is given to you lovely ladies that it could possibly help me ::)  And of course i will see a doctor too. But i do value you guys opinion no matter what it is.

What do you think. i've seen some MTF with awesome shapes on HRT.

I hope i convey what i'm asking. thank you.

The chances are you will not find a doc that will give you a prescription for hormones just to help you obtain your desired look. If you search the internet about it I'm sure you'll find a large number of sites that talk about the negative effects of HRT in genetic women that wanted to reduce the effects of menopause.

From the Mayo clinic...

http://www.mayoclinic.com/health/hormone-therapy/WO00046

QuoteWhat are the risks of hormone therapy?

In the largest clinical trial to date, the combination estrogen-progestin (Prempro) increased the risk of certain serious conditions.

According to the study, over one year, 10,000 women taking estrogen plus progestin might experience:

    * Seven more cases of heart disease than women taking a placebo
    * Eight more cases of breast cancer than women taking a placebo
    * Eight more cases of stroke than women taking a placebo
    * Eighteen more cases of blood clots than women taking a placebo
    * An increase in abnormal mammograms, particularly false positives

The study found no increased risk of breast cancer or heart disease among women taking estrogen without progestin. Over one year, however, 10,000 women taking estrogen alone might experience:

    * Twelve more cases of stroke than women taking a placebo
    * Six more cases of blood clots in the legs than women taking a placebo
    * An increase in mammography abnormalities

The effect of hormone therapy on mammograms is important, because it suggests that women on hormone therapy may need more frequent mammograms and additional testing.

If you are considering changing how you look, you might want to talk to your doctor first to see if he/she might have any ideas.

There are also a lot of different padded body shapers you could look into (around $50 usd) that you could use for a 'special night out' if needed.

Something else to think about... (added after original post)...

If you aren't already taking birth control pills, some brands contain both oestrogens and progestins. These have been known to cause some women to gain a little weight, and chances are the hips might be a good place where the extra weight might want to settle.

One thing you need to keep in mind is exercise for women is designed to lean out the muscle and tone the body. The area around the hips does not contain enough muscle groups for you to actually increase the size of your hips with out causing your legs to become larger also...

An extreme example of a well built body on a female http://www.google.com/images?hl=en&q=female%20bodybuilding&cts=1283360086799&um=1&ie=UTF-8&source=og&sa=N&tab=wi&biw=1680&bih=873 (this link should be safe for work, it's a google images search for 'female bodybuilding', though view at your own risk)

In order to gain anything extra around your hips you would have to (modestly) do exactly the opposite of eat well and exercise, though targeting the other muscle groups around your body would be a good idea to help counter extra weight going to the other regions your not interested in increasing.

As you are young and presumably ovulating every 28 days or so...

HRT would never be prescribed for you as the doses would be way to high to be safe for you....

However a contraceptive pill might, but not for body shaping reasons...and all steroidal hormones carry risk...

Breast Augmentation if that's what you seek is the safer way to attain curves, which many gg women undertake...its still one of the most popular cosmetic procedures...

Some women report getting more curvier and bigger breasts by taking birth control.

Other things you can do is get your hormone levels checked by a doctor, and as already suggested, diet and exercise may help. A lot of is is genetics, too; if you're rail thin unless you gain weight you're not gonna get the curves.

Even for MTF's, genetics can play a huge role in over-all body shape... it's just how it is.

It depends on your body if your small and not curvy it might be because of two factors mainly.

1: your sensitivity to female hormones
2: Your Actual Female hormone levels

If you have a weak reaction to hormones Or are partially Estrogen insensitive adding more won't actually help because it's the fact that your body can't react to the estrogen regardless of however much your body produces. :)

If however you have naturally very low hormone levels then yeah it might help your body shape to take additional curves.
In either case however while you take these female hormone supplements Your fertility would suffer and you'd stop ovulating until such time as that you stopped taking the Hormone suppliments.

Well I have my tubes tied already so i don't plan on anymore children. No i'm not rail thin. I guess i'm not shaped the way i feel that i should be.

So getting older i notice changes not wrinkles or such . like gaining weight in the belly, ( which may be due to marriage) right now i'm going thru a divorce. So i don't want to mess myself up in the process of trying to look good.

I think i could look better. so i made a goal sheet to get on with it. like

1. exercise
2 replacing cakes with fruit
3. chemical peels on the face to help improve the texture / lotion form for the body
4 keeping my nails and toes done which i do myself.

so those are just some of the goals.

Simple stuff like that is a great start. A lot of times how people view themselves has a lot to do with the things going on in their lives. Going through a divorce is a rough road to take so make sure you schedule time for yourself.

Michelle.

If there was a magic curves pill, the plastic surgery market would collapse over night.

Just a random note, I have gotten some of the best advice on how to get ass from women who... well, have ass and aim for it! I'd say ask a friend or two about their diet. I know some women who have sworn on soul food as a way to build up the butt and hips area but mixed with some exercise to help tone the other areas of their body. I've seen it work for some women and I've seen it not work at all for others.

I spent my early teens being raised in a neighborhood that was primarily African American, and some of those girls had tip after tip after tip on how to gain inches around the butt. I don't want to say it is a racial thing, but it seems more popular in that culture to go for the extra pounds on the backside so if you have some friends you'd be comfortable asking I'd say go for it because mine were never short on opinions and ideas on things they'd done. Not that I was looking to have more of a butt but they certainly felt that the "stick thin white girl" (as they so wonderfully referred to me lol) needed one.

I think that the short and simple answer to the initial question is;

Not unless your hormones are out of whack to start with.

If you are still reading ???  ..you need to find yourself something like this....

What I would do is remake this and not use cream but icecream! and it would have to be cookies'n'cream icecream for me.... with extra chunks of oreos in there. :O~

//since it's helping you ladies get curves why not me//

I think the truth is that hormones do make some tgirls more curvy, but we start off from a different base line, and for most tgirls it does very little indeed curve-wise.  If we look at Harisu as a curvy tgirl example the talk does tend to be of surgery not hormones.

When I feel some pressing need to look like I actually have a waist I break out the corset, if it's a good one it's amazing how curvy it makes even me look :)  Our great-grandmothers knew what they were up to..
