Ok, I am trying to plan my first Girls Day with my friend. it will be my first since I just came out to her. I was looking for suggestions as to what to do! So far all I got is grab smoothies and look at clothes but I know there is more to do than this. So what are some ideas for what to do!?

Maybe a dinner and a movie?  Or a few drinks at a LGBT bar?

Jennypenny

Lunch and a trip to a mall would be good IMO, maybe a movie after.

Hi Jessica,

Same sorts of ideas as Janet and Jenny. Coffee and a chat. Dinner, lunch, brunch. Depends what you want to achieve, so to sound clinical. Women generally like to talk and discuss their relationships, circumstances, emotions and thoughts. And I have very naturally fallen into this. Guys generally don't. One reason my therapist decided I wasn't a guy. So a place to chat is good.

Going to a movie is entertainment, again fine. But why? To go out with someone? Prove you can stand looking at a chick flick (I can't, many if not most of my GG friends can't either, it may be an age issue).

So you can demonstrate that you pass in public, or that you don't, and want her help to do so?

So, I hope I'm not being negative. You are in a great situation of going out with a female friend. BTW I do often go out with my sister in law. We go to restaurants, theater etc. Her husband knows me totally, we go to restaurants on the night he goes to his quiz night, and to theater that he doesn't like. We go as a threesome to movies we all like.

So decide what you want to achieve.

I would suggest going shopping together, although great fun, will be a little down the line when you know each other in your female persona. Then you can really chat about clothes and styles that suit and you both like, all the great stuff.

Hugs

Shopping sounds fun! I'd like to do that, can't buy anything (No where to hide it or time to wear it) But it would be fun to learn what size I would wear.

I'd really like to size a bra and panties since I can wear them under clothes and not be noticeable, but still feel womanly. Just got to ease into it with my girl pal.

I've been invited to a Girls' Day Out a couple of times.  I declined these invitations because the activities didn't appeal to me.  But this is what the girls wanted to do:

Get pedicures.
Get manicures.
Get their hair done.
Go clothes shopping.

The theme seems to be that everyone works on improving their appearance while confiding in each other about things that are considered somewhat personal or emotional (usually, it's how they feel about situations involving other people in their lives).

I'm still waiting for my girls day, but she has had a hectic time with school, work, sisters wedding, etc.

Me and my wife had a girls night where we went and got me some hello kitty panties and pj's. Then later she painted my toenails. I'd really like to go out and full clothes shop and get my nails done though.

So I agree with Colleen, it sound very fun!

@ JessicaG:

Hi, Jess!  I say you just can't beat the mall.  Weather-protected.  Air-conditioned.  Lots of room to walk around.  Coffee and candy shops.  FASHION!    :D

There's something there for anybody and everybody.  Great place to be.  I'm a regular mall cruiser myself.  Totally recommend it.   Good luck!    :D

@ Alexmakenoise:

Alex, your avatar?

Is that, perchance, Yardbirds-era Jimmy Page, say 1965 or so?  If so, then THAT was a band that spawned superstars of the future for its time.  Great band in its own right.  Anybody here remember Jeff Beck.  Old-timers in Britain probably do.  Man, those were SO the days!

If you're into rock-out guitar playing, Jimmy Page is definitely one of the grand masters of the genre.  Rock on!   If this is not Jimmy Page, then ignore me, but rock on anyway!   :)
Believe.  Persist.  Arrive.    :D
