Hey everyone,
I'm Tawny and I'm 19. I'm about to start college and I don't' have money to start electrolysis before I start anti-androgens and estrogen, what are some good alternatives if I can't afford it for a while but start hormones?

Save your money for all you are worth girl

The earlier you start the electrolysis and indeed the HRT the better - in the absence of anti-androgens facial hair goes on thickening well into your twenties. Thus if you can start at 19 on BOTH anti androgens and electrolysis it will save you a fortune.

Start before you turn twenty and I would estimate that you will need only HALF as much treatment because there will be fewer hairs and they will all be finer too!

Oh and I see that you are new to our family here so Welcome to Susan's. I'm sure you will soon find your feet and make friends with people here.

Try cutting unnecessary expenses.

Do you drink soda?  2 cans a day is more than a 12 pack a week.  Stop the soda, that's $4 a week.
Do you smoke?  1 pack a day is more than $20/week MIN, with taxes it's more than $40 where I live.
Do you drink alcohol, do you use recreational drugs, do you buy lots of video games ETCETCETC.  Look for the fat that can be trimmed, most people don't realize how much they spend on little things because they're only paying maybe 5 dollars at a time, but it really adds up.

Good luck.
