Hello

I am new to these forums. I am a 26 year-old medicine student on my 4th year of studies. I have managed to push aside my gender issues so far, but lately everything has come crashing down.

I've been feeling fairly distressed, and sometimes depressed, about my male condition. Even though I have a huge amount of willpower, sometimes its overwhelming.... I have an appointment with a therapist soon, as I decided this is something I have to deal with before I end up doing something crazy, like taking hormones on my own without any sort of screening.

I feel hopeful, and for me just talking about it makes me feel 100% better.

That's it for now, thanks!

Hi Maiara, :icon_wave:

Welcome to our little family. Over 3500 strong. That would be one heck of a family reunion.

Feel free to post your successes/failures, Hopes/dreams.  Ask questions and seek answers. Give and receive advice.

But remember we are family here, your family now. And it is always nice to have another sister. :icon_hug:

And be sure to check out these links ( MUST READS )

Hugs and Love,

Hello you....

And for every newbie that comes out with this statement...

My heart is a sense drops as I, we and many, many of us know on this forum....

(a) exactly where you're at and (b) the shear guts and mental will-power you need to get where you need to be going...

But we're a kool club of peeps...here....no really we is!

And you will get bucket-loads of support here for sure.....lol

Hello Maiara,
Even after you start HRT you still get panic attacks and such.
Like today, for me, I just wanted to scream. "I'm so tired of wearing this male body. OOOOOOOOOOOOOhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh ..........................".
But I got through it, somehow, somewhat.
So yes I do understand. It is better now on HRT but still no picnic.
Welcome to Susan's.
Look forward to see more of your postings.
