I know this is probably just wishful thinking, but will modern science find a way for transgender people to become pregnant? If you think about it, why not ?  Over 60 years ago, it was not possible to become a woman, but they found a way.  What does everyone think ?  Will it happen in our lifetime, or after we are dead ?

While research is ongoing, it's mostly related to fertility for GG's who are unable to carry or conceive a child.. They have a managed to "build" an ovary that will grow and mature eggs, but it currently is limited to a petri dish. The catch is that it requires cells harvested from a GG in order to work.. That's really the simple bit though.. Creating a functional uterus will take some time, I'm not sure stem cells are the entire answer.. They will certainly be part of the answer, but I doubt it will be the whole answer.

I've seen a documentary where they were able to grow a functional bladder, so there is some advances in growing organs, but I don't feel it's going to happen in time for most of us. There are also issues with what researchers are able to research due to funding and religious considerations..

They've also grown kidneys and I think livers, it's still experimental though. I suppose future research and development will focus more on life-preserving organs, especially those which have a primitive structure.

Within the next 10 years is highly unlikely, but not impossible.  I'd say within 50 is pretty likely though.

There are complications.

For FTMs The Y chromosome contains 40 genes that instruct howto make sperms. FTMs are missing these genes although there maybe better hopes of penis' begin grown.

For MTFs I dunno it would be difficult SRS creates a Neovagina that was never designed to undergo childbirth it lacks the elasticity of a female vagina, In addition to the hip shape problem the opening too the hips might be simply too narrow to push a childs head through.

As for C-section assisted we'd have to create a new ovary meiosis only normally occurs during fetal development for females. There's also the complications of implanting uterine tissue not to mention the problem of generating XY eggs fusing with XY sperm. and chromosome imprinting and methlyation patterns.

it'd be very difficult it might happen in the future but I wouldn't bet on it or expect it. I'd guess 60 years or so but that's just a wild guess really.

If you were (true) intersexed with mixed internals... you might have a better chance...

There was a case of twins (female) one was born with a uterus....but no functioning ovaries....her sister donated an ovarian graft for her.... and this did allow her to naturally conceive (eventually) but not with her own egg obviously....

In simple terms I think it very unlikely (next 10-20) medical sciences will concentrate on the TG community, the ROI wouldn't be sufficient....and the amount of internal surgery would be just too traumatic.... and currently any of those procedures would require huge quantities of anti-rejection drugs...

Which would surely damage a safe foetus development...

Your best bet would be to have a natal female sister, and ask her to be a surrogate for your SO's natal male's sperm....

And if not that adopt, there are many beautiful motherless babies out there....

But be wary Angela of Michaels interest with ->-bleeped-<- porn... the assessors in a country like Greece might have an issue with such interests... for prospective foster parent candidates....?

Or if say you had a background of taking drugs and working in the seedy-end sex industry for instance.....

As we all well know....some (unfortunate) TS's do.....

In 50 years we could probably stop aging if we decide to.

That means get younger too.

Maybe, in 100 years, we can grow our offspring in pods and not need to put a single human body through the stress of pregnancy again, and then, all couples, regardless of their sex/gender set-up, would have an equal ability to produce biologically "their own" children...

I'd think that'd be cool though.

I actually imagine this being the case. They will probably find a way to prevent children from being born transgendered long before they find a way for us to have our own children.

They've already created vagina's with elasticity in women with AIS and Müllerian agenesis.Most European countries are more liberal about these things than America.They've discovered a way to genetically turn a female mouse male.I'm not saying that this will happen for sure within the next 20 years but i don't think it's completely unrealistic.
