Hi All!

Has anyone had a BA (or AM) with Dr Suporn?

If so may I ask how you feel about your results with Dr Suporn on breast implants?

Right sized for you?  Placed well?  Did the BA create cleavage for you?

Are you happy you used Dr Suporn for your BA, or later wished you had shopped more, perhaps in your 'local' area for plastic surgeons, since you may, or probably, wrapped it into the same time as your SRS surgery?

Regrets?  Happy as all get out?

Any experiences are helpful, thanks!

Hi Melan

I had a BA with Dr Suporn last November. Im completely happy with the results. Mine were under muscle and massaging was very painfull but well worth the effort. The beautician I go to commented that I have the best bust she has ever seen. So I suppose that comment says it all :)

Thank you Krissy!  I do hear it's rather painful.   Judging by the others I know that have had the under muscle.. more painful, then even SRS lol, eeeeek!

I've had a BA with Dr Suporn and had mixed results, though I don't believe this was due to the Doctor's skill but rather just an unfortunate outcome that can happen with this type of surgery.

I can't speak to the issue of pain, because I lost most of the feeling in my chest, so I never actually experienced any pain from it at all. There are important things to be aware of before having this surgery, such as the need for regular breast massage. I had some incredible muscular pain in my arms that seemed to be due to scar adhesions in the underarms (not the fault of the clinic at all, just the way I healed. The clinic were very helpful with information on how to fix it). This pain went away eventually after regular excercises suggested by the clinic.

The placement is balanced and even and I certainly have cleavage. I worry that they are too firm, but I think that is due mostly to the type of implant used (the benefit of this implant being that they don't ever need replacing and are far more durable than others).

I do wish I had feeling and that they were a little softer, but that's hardly the fault of the Doctor. Overall, I think Dr Suporn and the clinic did a great job and were always very helpful and attentive with aftercare issues. I say go for it!  :D

Thank you Birdy.  Very nice of you to post your feed back.  Some issues there to definitely put into my consideration.

I confirmed today, and will be sending my money in.  With the next 4 months to think hard about it.  They will give me a full refund if I choose not to do it.  (I'm going over for an SRS revision anyway, and will talk to Dr Suporn tell me about expectations, and complications).

When you say you lost feeling in most of your chest, does that include the areola/nipple area?  I'm so sorry to hear this, are you getting any feeling back over time? Or do you think it's permanent?

*huggs*,

Sorry for the lateness of the reply!

I think the numbness is probably permanent. I've had a little feeling come back over time, but it's not the same type of feeling. It's just a very superficial sensation of pressure that depends a lot on the fact that I know to expect pressure there and can focus on finding that feeling if it's my own hand. If someone else touches them I can't feel a thing unless they are really forceful, and then it isn't a nice feeling at all. I've actually burned myself with hot water in the shower because I didn't feel the heat until a few seconds too late.

The left nipple is entirely numb, but thankfully the right one is completely normal and as sensitive as it always was. It's like the oasis of feeling on the desert of my chest! ;)

It's not the worst thing that could happen. I was a bit upset at first, but you deal with things and move on. The boob job has helped me pass consistently now, it's a good choice to have it done, I think.

Again, sorry for taking so long to reply! :)

Oh gees.  If I have to choose breast size over sensation, I would think I would want sensation, personally.  I wonder how common it is for numbness.  That really sucks, I'm so sorry to hear of your numbness.  I've read other breast augment stories, and hadn't heard of numbness before, I wonder if it's something with Dr Suporn's technique.  I'm really thinking twice about this, as I'm a sensual creature, and love touch, and the feeling of being touched.  Part of my chin and lip are numb from the jaw burring I had performed, and at times, it drives me nuts!  I'd still go through with the face surgery if I had to choose again, but indeed it is a nasty side affect.   I'm going to follow up in some breast augmentation forums, to see if other people have experienced numbness, to get a gauge if it's common or not.

Take Care and Thank you for the info!,

Not sure how related this is but my mum had a breast reduction in 1992 and she lost a bit of sensation on one side but she told me that it slowly/gradually came back over around 20 years! I guess it could just be down to sheer chance! :P

I don't intend to have a BA but that's not the post.

I was thinking with any surgery that cuts through the muscle, deep tissue, Sensate areas like the nipple there is always the risk of nerve damage. These nerves may nit together or not. If not then sensation will never return.

I have had my SRS and the return of sensation has been gradual. I also had a varicose vain stripped out a few years ago and the upper leg was numb for about a whole year but sensation gradually returned. The surgeon did say there was a slight risk of nerve damage even with that and is not considered major surgery.

The main thing is, you are making an informed choice .

I had my BA in February 08 with silicon implants through a circular incision around my aureoles.
Pain was worst I've ever felt for about three weeks and still had to be careful for a couple of months.
Sitting here now and running a fingertip over all the skin of my chest, neck, shoulder and boobs fells the same but if a romantic opportunity presents itself then OMG my boobs are supersensitive!

BA incisions don't cut a chunk of skin out completely so the remaining connections will carry sufficient nerves and our bodies do ensure disturbed flesh and nerves knits together.   Area on my leg that got skingraft after an accident is fully sensate.

We need some input from FtMs who have had major chest reduction where the nipple has to be cut out and then inserted in what was formerly the skin of the top of the boob or chest.

This link does a pretty good job of explaining the risks of nipple numbness:

http://www.infoplasticsurgery.com/breast/augmentation/risks/sensation/

From reading across various forums, there's about a 15% chance of nipple and/or breast numbness on average.

This is something to really think about.   I know I would have huge regrets for having the surgery if I were to come out of it permanently numb.

What a helpful site.

I am going to Dr Suporn for my SRS in Janaury and am thinking of my BA with him, can anyone recommend his  BA work, I wont even ask about SRS as I have seen his work first hand and would never let anyone else do this procedure on my body.

As a another cheeky one, as a newbie here, can I post a photo of me on my profile?

hello everyone

Hi Lucy,

When are you set for surgery?  My revision (and possible Augmentation) is January 19th.   I'll be there until the 28th.

If you haven't joined already, there is a yahoo group for Dr S patients.  It's good to join, and you can sorta pre-meet people before heading over, as well as ask questions of other Suporn graduates.

After (15?) posts, I believe you will have the ability to put a cheeky picture on your profile :)

Are you by chance in London, I may be flying through there, and spending a weekend there before hitting Bangkok.....

Take Care,
Melan

Michelle.

Sara,

If you don't mind. What was your pre-BA and now post-BA bra size? You look great in your avatar!!
Also was Dr.Sliwin able to use silicone?
