Hey everyone I found this old pic of me from 2003,  I was still pre op here. But already a few years into HRT. I must have weighed at least 25 pounds more in this pic than I do now, lol. This is before I cared about my weight.

I'm envious that you've been such an attractive woman for so long. :)

I think you were remarkably pretty. You have to think, a lot of transgendered people who try to transition don't get nearly as good of results as you have.

Thank you Janet, I didnt go post op till I was 33. But I  started years before to transition. Im one of those people that believe the younger you start, youll get better results. What if I didnt ever transition and started to this year ?  There is no way I would look like I do now.

The younger you start, the better physical results you will get.  But we aren't all afforded the opportunity to transition young. :(

I am thankful that I was able to transition at all.  I hope that you are thankful for being able to transition when young. :icon_flower:

Out of curiosity Angela, if it's not out of line to ask, how old were you when you started your transition ?

Enough about the past, back to current pics !!!   I dont know weather I should see this as a compliment from my boyfriend Michael or not. He told me that before I had surgery from the accident, I looked like an innocent girl. He thinks I look like a wild girl now. :o  I guess the only thing that counts, is that we love each other.

A wild girl!!

Now that sounds like a compliment. Or possibly a suggestion.

Im still trying to forget he said that, lol. Anyway its been an eye opener these first few days moving in with him. I thought I knew him inside out, but living with him truly brings out a really tender side of him I never saw before.  Im also feeling alot better pain wise these days. Ive reported to my job, that I should be back first week of November.  I could have stretched it till December , which was my limit they gave me to come back, but money is running out .

It sounds like Michael is seeing you in a new light, too - a more interesting one. :D

Yes, definitely I would say. Some of my friends just dont understand my love for Michael. They say how can I love someone, who was almost like a brother to me, and my best buddy in high school.  I tell them im not that person anymore, they just dont understand. Im really hoping I meet another person here at susans, with a similar situation.

You are very very pretty. I'm not sure what the accident actually affected, because you are still extremely gorgeous.

Angela

They say beauty is in the eyes of the beholder. People will think im nuts for saying this, but In my view I was better looking before the accident. I dont think im ugly, just was more fond of my previous look. Maybe in time itll grow on me and ill be used to it. I guess I should just be greatful , considering what happened. That accident is actually the 22nd accident this year on that road, with a car and a motorcycle. You wouldnt believe how many kids here in Greece get into accidents with motorcycles. He got away with minor bruises, and I had to have surgery. He was driving without a license , but thats been taken care of now. :)

@ Angela Venetos:

Angie, you look very good.  You majorly pass.  I hope you are happy.  You should be.  My best to you.

@ K8:

Kate, I'm right there with you, as I know several of us on here are.  Personally, I'd like to have started hormone replacement therapy at about age 13-15 or thereabouts and had GRS/SRS just a few years thereafter.

Sigh, like you said, at least we had a chance to transition at all.  All I can say is I've never been happier, and I'm preop.  Even if I have to remain preop, it's still a zillion times better than being a guy.
Believe.  Persist.  Arrive.    :D
