I use a rolled up sock to pack because I can't figure out how to order a packer so does packing with a sock work at all with passing?

yeah thats what I used before i got a packer. Just make sure you shape it right and don't make it too big.

And in case the socks on your feet get wet you'll always have a spare. ; )

And if it falls on the floor you won't get any funny looks.

I like packing with a sock.  It looks natural.  It's comfortable.  And as Jay said, it doesn't look all that weird if the sock falls out or otherwise gets discovered (compared to other things one might pack with).

Personally, I'm not a fan of using a traditional packer.  They cost money, can make it look like you have a hard-on, and are just not comfortable.

I pack this way, too. It's how I did it as a kid/young teen, it's just what feels comfortable for me. Easy to care for, too!

yea it works, and it is more likely to stay in your pants rather then fall out IMO

Yeah, it's fine if your passing concerns are mostly in places where you don't expect to be seen in your underwear or wet swimsuit or to be crotch-grabbed. Not recommended for locker rooms, gay clubs, or swimming. Also if you're dancing really close with someone, s/he may be able to tell the difference (I know I can).

Cracking up here at the image of some poor lady's water balloon breast bursting. That would be an awkward situation.

And yeah, I wouldn't expect socks to hold up to groping or closer scrutiny, but for my day to day needs it's ideal for me.
