It depends on the color of the hair and the skin.  I have used both.  Laser help eliminate a lot of the dark ones, but most of it is grey, so it will be the old electrolysis.

dark hair and real pale skin are the ideal combination for laser.  Many shop have package deals for blocks of time.  Get it now because it only gets harder when you get up around my age.

And Thank You for the compliment.  ;D

I'd recommend starting with laser, and finishing off those resistant areas with electrolysis. The laser is faster, cheaper, and covers a larger area.

If money is no issue then electrolysis is recommended, because it is permanent. EL-3000 does it all in six day long sessions. Otherwise laser is recommended, because it is much cheaper and faster.

I haven't completed dealing with it but I've done both methods, and I think it's best to put an investment in laser first and after about 6-9 sessions you can enlist the help of electrolysis. I believe it would be much more efficient time and money wise this fashion.

I anticipate that the most trouble will be around my chin and upper lip area where there's alot of stubborn hairs and many of them are blond.

I agree with the above.  I've had to do both, since I have a lot of gray hair.  The laser is faster, cheaper, and hurts less (I think).  Even if you have to go back once in a while for a laser touchup, it is a lot faster and cheaper than electrolysis.  (I've been doing weekly one-hour electrolysis sessions for 18 months and still am not done, even with laser. :P)

I can tell you that what has worked best for me, is laser first, because the laser need a dark hair to guide the light down to the follicle. It might sting for a sec, but its fast and efficient....THEN any light, white or gray hair still on your face will need to be removed with electrolysis. That is what the lady told me. Im actually going in for another treatment on thursday!! It may be dir=fferent for you
