Sorry sista, newbie question :-*

Actually, so many information that I got, thanks, btw, does dr. supporn's hospital has electrolysis machine also?  Because, I think do electrolysis to remove the hair on the genital is important to prevent internal hair in vagina afterall.

I think they just scrape the hair follicles off whatever skin they're using to make the depth. I don't have firsthand experience, but I think I read that on Suporn's site.

I'm definitely considering going to Thailand. It's probably either Brassard or Suporn that I'll see, but that's a far way off. I'm not worried so much about the differences in cost; with surgery this important being happy with the results is the most important thing.

Yeah I kinda feel the same way is not like Im shopping for a car so I want the best surgeon specially SRS. I do hear most of the Sunporn girls are all orgasmic and that is a big plus on my book...

I agree. I've been researching them all and Thailand is very affordable and Supporn's site has some good results listed. They have a self lubricating option that with recovery time is still under $11,000! That's $6000 less then just the surgeons fee for a regular srs surgery not including hospital fees. It seems like the only affordable option for me.
Supporn's fees are now 17,000 USD starting Jan 2011 FYI.  Was 15,000 USD.

I think all the Tai docs have pretty good reps in terms of results (appearance, depth, sensation) don't they?

someone in another thread said Dr. P (can't remember the specific spelling - the guy who has his jr. docs do the actual surgeries) was down around $9k...? and I thought I'd read here something referring to Dr. Chet in the 12-13 range?

I just got the email reply from Montreal, SRS in Montreal was quoted to me as of today $18,040 CDN or about $17,500 US. That is my other pick, Brassard or Sunporn..now I have to make a choice..

I got my fee quotes from Supporn last week for both SRS and BA and he's honestly not too much cheaper than stateside when you add everything in.. Still crunching numbers.  Also, his fees are going up in 2011 by about 10% they said.  My Therapist has two people thee now....

I'm also going to throw in one other thing.. There are a much larger number of reports of antibiotic resistant infections coming from hospitals in SE Asia, including Thailand, than pop up in the UK, US or Canada..

I wouldn't want a student doing my op.. Assisting and observing, no problem, but I'd want and experienced guy running the show..

Infections from asia was the main topic of discussion when I ended up at a plastic surgeon here in the US.
Scary stuff.

I am sure if you stay longer then a week (most say 3 weeks) for complications  most doctors in thailand will treat infection or any other problem that may happen after surgery, when i go, i plan to stay for 3 weeks.

Infection can happen anywhere, the issue is that there is a higher incidence of antibiotic resistant infections..

Why would there be a higher instance rate for Thailand doctors then any other, i would think it would be about the same, unless you pick a quack doctor.

There is a higher rate of reported antibiotic resistant infections such as VRSA and MRSA coming from SE Asia as a whole currently, not just Thailand. Whether this is caused by a reduced access to more current treatments or something else requires further research. It can happen even with non 'quacks'. There are resistant strains of bacteria floating around many places in the US, Canada, UK and Australia too, just less reported cases of them. I'm currently unable to find a link to the data that doesn't require a paid subscription.

So what does that mean?   That there's a lotteries chance we'll contract antibiotic-resistant 28-days-later type mutations if we choose to goto Thailand for surgeries?  Or that there is a slight elevated risk of getting such?  Please, one with the access, relate this :)

As someone that has a paid ticket, and reserved hospital bed waiting for her there, in 3 months, I'd like to hear more about what you have to say about this, and why you say this?

err, is this about srs or ffs or both? :)
So Julie, what do you think about Dr. Pinchon? Never heard the name.

Bangkok Plastic Surgery in the heart of down town. Small clinic, really nice people.
As for the surgery? Nice result.

Still, you run a risk no matter where you go.  The best surgeon in the world can get complications, no doctor has a 100% track record unless they did 1 patient heh, and stopped without incident maybe.  Basically no matter where you go there  is risk involved as this is a major surgery.  I will minimize what i can by staying 3 weeks in case of complications next year.
