Lilly

A close female friend I have been preparing to come out to surprised me tonight. She told me she didn't feel like a girl. She told me she felt like a guy in a girl's body. I asked her if she was going to go through with transition and she said no. But she does consider herself transgender. Now that she has told me this I feel more comfortable about coming out, and will tell her the next time I talk to her.

Lilly,

That is very special. You can give such support to each other but I would suggest taking it one step at a time. Your friend may get overwhelmed by finding he already knows another guy.

Good Luck to both of you

Hugs

I'm confused now....she doesn't want transition so do I still refer to her as she/her?

Talk about it. That's what I meant about going slowly

It's great that your friend has someone like you to trust.

As Cindy says, fore each of us, the approach is different. It's all about finding ourselves and learning how to express that.

You already know that from your own experiences.
