Did notice a lot of transguys prefer the more androgynous look...I guess maybe that's where the above comes from? Personally, I'd much rather look like RDJ than Cruise -- odds are better for me, too, so there's a bonus. I'm not interested in a pretty-boy look, though I do admit a guy's gotta look good. Guess I just prefer something a bit rougher, per se, than pretty-boy for myself.

I guess I want to look like what I'm attracted to?  I don't know, but I'd think I'd be happier with a more androgynous look though that probably won't happen given my genetics.  >> And if I could look like Tom Cruise as Lestat I'd be terribly excited and would never leave the bathroom. XD

Robert Downey Jr is pretty hot, though, but not what I want to look like.

robert downey jr? *drooooooooool*

Hahaha, yea, reactions such as that don't hurt any. ;) I'm bi and, well, he certainly has that going for him -- not to mention the woman I'm currently "talking to" (to borrow my younger brother's words) thinks he's hot: that definitely doesn't hurt any.

I've always preferred to look more rugged when at all possible -- even when I have to wear something "nice" (such as for a wedding or something) I prefer a certain attitude that I suppose I equate to ruggedness. I don't mind sweaty, either: seems I always get positive comments if I mention being sweaty, haha.

Hahaha! That first one could be a problem Gabe, haha. I imagine I have a basis for what you mean though: I think once I can start T (probably a ways off) and start looking more masculine I might be inclined to spend more time in front of the mirror as well...

Fair enough on all the comments: to each their own. I guess I just noticed I seem to be in a minority on this thread/topic, which is cool. I just had to post that first line, then the rest sort of followed from there.

Once I start T, I predict lots of staring in the mirror and going "ooo...is that a beard hair???" XD

>> It would be a bit of a problem if I kept staring because I looked like Lestat.  I might waste away in front of the mirror or any reflective surface.

Haha, I already have a few "beard hairs", unfortunately it's literally a few so there's not much that can be done with them (though I do play with them a bit sometimes). I try to keep them short and shave them when they get noticeable, since they're not doing me too much good at the moment, but believe me I do love having them! Luckily my ma stopped trying to pluck them a while ago, too -- largely because I wised up and stopped letting her near my chin. Now that she knows I'm trans that should put a permanent stop to it.

That last statement reminds me of Dorian Gray and The League of Extraordinary Gentlemen...
