Am I the only guy in the world that's gone through his entire treatment only on gels?

I was on injections for one month before hypertension put an end to that, and so for the past 18 months I've been on AndroGel. It works slower than injections, but it's done wonders for me.

Are there any other FTMs transitioning purely on some sort of gel or patch, not just using it as a temporary buffer or step-up? If so, your take on the process as opposed to injections?

My spouse although not ftm is a female bodied androgyne on a masculinizing level of T (high enough dose to get hir T at 800-1030 ng/dl) so ze is bassicaly FTM for medical issues and ze is only ussing gel. Ze tried the injections for about a month and a half I think it was.

As a spouse I did not like when ze was on injections due to the trough on day 6. (weekly injections)
However I liked that I didnot have to wait for Sevan to dry up after alplying hir testim. (about 20 mins)
I like that ze is on the gel because there is no emotional hell because the T levels have droped below hir sanity level.

20 minutes? On AndroGel, the same product, women can't touch me at all. Its transdermal attributes are effective for the next eight hours after application. I don't like women so I haven't got anything to worry about, but I would be concerned for your progress to be in such close contact with Testim.

Oh you missunderstood.
I dont have sex with Sevan or touch hir for pretty much the rest of the day once the T goes on. (well the evening is ok)
I have to wait for hir to dry so the clothing can go on and we can get on with our day.

Oh yeah...
It is 2 hours before a woman is ok to touch a guy with testim on.
at least thats what the doctor said.

I've been on T for 8 and a half months, spent the entire time on Testogel. I really like it, no intention of switching to injections at the moment. Might consider nebido in a few years time just for the convenience one injection every 10-12 weeks. Since it gets applied everyday it feels like I'm constantly doing something positive towards my transition.

I'm pre-T, but I'll be going the gel route because I can't handle needles entering any part of body anymore (wooo doctor's appointments -.-).  And because I refuse to do shots by myself.

I make Sevan give me my shots, I am way to much of a sissy to do it to myself.

xD  If I had an SO, I'd make them give me the shots if I decided to do shots, but I don't and I'm too shaky/too much of a wuss to do it myself.

I do injections and always have. But I know a guy who started on gel and plans to stay on it. He's been on T for maybe two years? Anyway, he has some serious mental health issues and likes the gel because it's a consistent dose. He was worried that injections would make him trough and exacerbate some of his issues. I haven't seen him in a while, but he was doing great last time I talked to him. And he says he got hairy fast--must be genetics.

I'm starting on gel soon! :D (Yes, things have moved pretty quickly since my hiatus - I will update soon, partly 'cause I need to now!) In fact, Dr Curtis (well-known private GIC doctor here in Blighty) visited my support group to talk to us in detail about hormone therapy, which left me torn between the gel and Nebido. Only reason I went for Testogel in the end is because I have surgery sometime in the New Year, and since you're advised to come off T about 2 weeks before and after the op, Nebido just wasn't gonna work.

I have the letter, got my doctor's appointment on Friday to get an NHS script for it, should be starting within the next few days! So excited! :D

Nemo, haven't seen you in donkeys years :o. Fill us in soon, things seem to have moved on fast since we last saw you.

I want to but it's expensive. Could do without the trough stage, here I was thinking that T would stop hormone cycling lol.

Expense aside - the obscene peaks/troughs happen with Sustanon. From what I've learned, gel actually gives the most natural results (closest to peaks/troughs of cisguys), with Nebido coming in second. Maybe I should reproduce that chart we got shown when we had that talk on hormones.

Aww, I've been missed!? ;D Yeah, it's been a funny time - things have been crazy lately, just starting to settle down now I have a clearer idea of what's going on and when. I will update soon, I promise :)

Just had to say though - been looking through latest progress threads and seeing people's avis, and.. damn, you guys are looking good! :o Is all giving me more motivation to actually update my blog - if I'm getting encouragement from your pics, surely others will get some from mine...

Just wondering, is Nebido prescribed outside of the UK? Because less shots definitely appeals to me :o.

I don't think it's been approved for use in the US yet. Canada, I have no idea. Australia, yes.

And so ends my knowlage of the availability of Nebido.
