High School Diploma Naming Woes

So, I'm currently a senior in high school, and thus trying to sort out my final year of school. Well, I've run into a dilemma regarding my high school diploma. See, the secretary at my school handed me a paper to fill out regarding the name I want on my diploma, and how I want it to appear. See, I'm currently going by three names at the moment - Kristina being my legal name, Kaci being the name I'm going by now (I needed to go by an androgynous name for a while to test the waters), and Keagan, the name that I'm slowly transitioning in to and will eventually be my legal name.

My mom told me that my diploma is a legal document, and thus I should use Kristina. However, the secretary told me that it can be Kaci or any other name. Well, so naturally I want to put Keagan down. But I'm not sure if that's a good idea or not. I plan to be out by graduation should things work out right, but I don't know. I really, really would like to avoid using the name Kristina, because it's not gonna be my name for much longer. Kaci I hope is going to slowly fade out, and Keagan will be my legal name whenever I do wind up getting it changed, which is hopefully soon.

So yeah, um, I have to go and will not be able to get back here until Sunday. Any advice is really appreciated.

If you can put whatever you want on it, go with Keagan if you know for sure that's the name you're going to stick with.

I regret not taking my senior yearbook picture with a suit instead of the drape.  It's unlikely you'll get another diploma to replace the Kristina one if you decide to go that route.  Do what feels right for you.

A high school diploma is not a legal document.  It is just a paper reward for completing high school.  If you go to college they don't ask to see the diploma, they ask to see your records.

But whatever you want on it.

What Janet said.  But if you are going to get your name changed, do it BEFORE you graduate so your HS transcripts will have your real name on them.  Will save explanations later if you go to college why your transcripts have another name on them.
While I have managed to change the name on my college transcripts, I've heard people say they had a hard time changing their HS ones.

.. which reminds of my own HS diploma/records which are from some other country and I can't change them. What will I do?? :(
I really suggest that you get all the possible documentation right from the start if you're afforded the opportunity.

I'm in a similar situation. I put my new name on the diploma name form. I'm fairly certain I will have changed it by the time I graduate. They can't make me put my current legal name, right? You should probably put the name you'll stick with for your future legal name.
