I have a pretty squarish face. However, I'm terrified that when I get my male haircut, I'll just end up looking like a butch lesbian. I was gonna go for the soccer, faux-hawk-ish type of style, but my hair takes a while to grow, so I'm not sure. When my hair's near ear length, I can pass nearly 100%. So, my question is, should I go for the faux hawk, or just a medium-length guy's style?

This is me currently:

Hair is tucked up in my hat, so it looks really awkward, but just try to picture me without the hat and tell me what style you think would work best for me. Thanks :)

Something that's kinda in your face without restricting your vision. anything too short would highlight your soft features, I have the same problem :/

I don't think you look too feminine with short hair, judging by the picture you posted, but I think one thing most of us FTMs have to get used to in the long road of transition is not being afraid of looking like a butch lesbian.

Personally, if you wanna stay on the safe side I would get a medium length men's hair cut, that's what I have and I find it helpful to have hair that comes down to about chin length on the sides of your face, because it makes you face appear a bit less round. But then I think you'd be more androgynous than anything, so I'm not sure if that's the look you're going for.

If you do decide to go with short hair, I think you could pull it off, and if not it'll grow, slowly but surely. Good luck with whatever you pick!

Faux hawks almost always make trans guys look like lesbians.
Too short is when the hair shows the feminine shape of your skull.
The best haircut for passing is usually a standard short back and sides, with a bit longer on top.
