Does it have to be a licensed Psychiatrist/Psychologist or can it be written by a councilor? I found a GLBT place that has licensed councilors that do sessions for cheap without insurance just wondering if they would be able to write it or if it would be a waste of cash?

LPC or LCSW?  It probably wouldn't matter either way.  I used both an LCSW and a psychiatrist for mine.  As long as they are qualified (generally, a master's degree) and have a current license to practice, I don't see why not.

Thanks Adio, I'm really not sure. I just found out about it online but can't call to schedule and find out info until tomorrow. I don't understand the different types of licensing so I wasn't sure if there was a specific one they would have to have. Thanks for the answer :)

My Therapist is just that a therapist.  He writes letters as required.
