I'm about 6 1/2 months on T and I haven't changed my name or ID picture yet so I was wondering if I would have issues getting a gym membership because my ID says female and looks like a female and I don't in person. I haven't had issues anywhere else like the bank but because I want to go to a gym I don't know if they'll have issues with me using the male bathroom or locker room. Has anyone had any experience with getting a gym membership after being on T for awhile but not having any documentation changed?

I am pre everything and have a gym membership.  I use the guys locker room.  I think it depends on the gym and how you present yourself.

I'm the same way with my membership and the men's bathroom / locker room.  Interestingly enough I started out with my female name at that gym as I have been going there for about three years now.

Now I changed my name and my gender on the paper work.  Some of the employees are better about it than others but that's the way it is everywhere.  It's a good monthly rate and gives me what I need.  I'm not there to make friends.  I'm there to gain muscle and stay fit.

exactly. I don't really care about anyone judging me but I just don't want to deal with any complications with starting my membership. I just signed up at 24-hour fitness. Apparently I'm supposed to go through an orientation which I don't want to do. I applied with my birth name and female but when the manager calls and asks for Ms. --- to schedule my orientation I'm going to have to say I go by another name and I'm trans because my voice is very low. haha it's going to be interesting. I just want to work out already.

I have a gym membership, I use the woman's locker room.  It would cause too much of a stir if i use the mens one.  I suggest the same, use the woman's locker room until you look enough like a guy to use the men's one, but that is my opinion.
