Where do you like to shop?  I have gotten some things from layne bryant, but sometimes the selection of cool things aren't great.  Post your favorite shops!

PS - If you know where I can get some really cool knee socks (like the stripey ones) let me know!   ;D

Not sure what it's like in the US, or what your tastes are, but I find charity shops which sell second hand clothes have some fabulous stuff.

Often hard to find, you need to search a bit. They are great for looking, as the staff are generally more than pleased just to have someone in there.

Also, my tastes will probably reflect that i'm really past it. Far out. Peace man. It'll happen to you!! Heh heh!!  >:-)   ;D

(I do apologise for my present mood. Just watched a TV documentry on the Sex Pistols. Never was a punk but you gotta love that beat. Or not!).

a lot of my wardrobe is from H&M, with more unusual pieces from a variety of gothy shops and websites

I'm with Spacial - I shop the thrift stores.  Value Village, etc.  Of course, so far, my wife is SO not supportive, and I'm otherwise spending lots of $$ on therapy, that it just doesn't make sense to spend more than I have to.  I get jeans or slacks for about $4/pr, got a watch for $7 (nice one, too!), etc.  Last time I was there, I got a pair of slacks, a nice blouse, a skirt and a jacket - total cost $30!  I've also discovered I can get makeup and other stuff (pantyhose for a homemade gaff, for instance) at the dollar store at VERY reasonable prices, lol.  For actual panties, I go to WalMart or Zellers...

What's your style? That's the biggest question.

Initially I shopped a bit at Old Navy, but honestly most of what I see there just isn't me.

As for me, TJ Maxx can be pretty good if you find a good one (they're very hit or miss) or Burlington Coat Factory. Designer brands at like 1/4 the cost sometimes.

I go for Macy's or Payless for shoes and usually get pretty lucky.

I go to Victoria's Secret for underwear - 5/25 or 7/25 is quite nice... and plus I kind of like collecting different designs ( yeah I know its wierd lol).

Otherwise it's just kind of oh hey... that XXXX looks really cute, I'm going to try it on.

When I was first building a wardrobe, I'd basically go to all the stores in the nearby shopping malls and peruse through clearance sections. About 1/10th of that original bit of clothing has survived, but having a good base is useful.

The above ticker is meant as a joke! Laugh! Everyone knows the real zombie apocalypse isn't until 12/21/12....

I'm with Janet-Wal Mart, Sam's club, K Mart, Target, Goodwill when I can find one, yard sales, and sometimes JCPenny or Kohls. I have just gotten started with finding my sizes and have a very limited budget so I can't spend much on clothes.
As for style most of mine are rather androgenous at the moment as I still present as male most of the time. Maidenform bras, full cover panties but sometimes I like to wear bikinis. I like mock turtles from JCPenny and juniors tops from Kohls. I also like St. Johns bay pants and tops.

I love to shop, I just hate to buy.

A&F, Forever 21/Old Navy - nice, but I'm too old to rock that look, not even sure if I could have/would have done it when I was the right age.  All a bit preppy, but that's ok, some people are preppy/coasties after all.

I like Macy's, true it's expensive compared to others, but the stuff is good.  They are always having sales, manufactures promotions, and deep discounts so for some stuff it comes out pretty close to outlet prices (or even lower) a couple times a year.

Lane Bryant, The Avenue, Catherine's all cater to large sizes, and at least LB and the the Avenue have got a little more hip over the years.  Bonus, The Avenue sells shoes and boots, lots of them and have them in 11 and 12 wide.

Torrid - If you have one near you, you should check it out, it's hip version of LB/Ave/Cat.  You can find them online (of course).

H&M - Sadly, I find them to be the almost ultimate triumph of style over substance.  The stuff looks great, trendy, ripped off the most fashionable current designers.  But, the materials and mostly the workmanship is really, really crappy.  Yeah, it's half, or less than half of what I'd pay for something that looked like that at Macy's, but the Macy's one is going to last years and years, and the H&M one is going to last a few wearings at best.

Second-Hand/Thrift Shop - This is pretty much the shopping equivalent of Xenophon's march to the sea.  Some love it, others hate it - it's a unique experience.

The Gap - it's where I shop when I'm trying to fool people into thinking I'm normal.  High quality stuff though.
FIGHT APATHY!, or don't...
