I haven't started transitioning yet but I have some pre-transition mini-milestones:

04/13/08: First time fully dressing as a female
04/26/08: First time going out presenting as a female
12/21/08: This day I suddenly realize that I am transgendered and that the crossdressing is not simply a phase
04/18/09: First daytime outing presenting as female
06/18/09: The day I quit wearing wigs and start using my natural hair from this point forward
10/30/09: First full-day presenting as female

I thought this would be a good old thread to bump. Here are my updates:

11/30/09: First time wearing nail polish
07/19/10: First time wearing women's shoes for everyday wear
09/18/10: Gender therapy begins

Anyone else had any big or mini milestones to add in the past year?

Nov 12. Day I started HRT.

I don't really have any others.

I can't remember dates to save my life. I remember my birthday...I remember the month and day my daughter was born, but I just can't remember the year. Don't know my dad's birthday, have to think to come up with my husband's, and have no clue what our wedding anniversary is (it's like March or May or something). No clue when I came out/started transition, it was earlier this year sometime. And I only remember how long it's been since I started T because I have this ticker in my sig (technically I don't remember, I have to look every time).

GRS April 23, 2010.

Even if I forget all the other dates I will remember that one because the events of that day made me finally comfortable with myself. ;D

The only big milestone I really have is May 20, 2008 when I came out to my first friend.

Not that I celebrate it or anything, in fact I don't believe I even recognized that was the date this May. lol

I'm in the middle of the first step of what I call "my transitioning". XD  Just look at my signature.

Anyway, I have only two dates so far that are really important to me (and I shall be celebrating them next year).

October 1, 2010--Cutting my hair really short so I can start passing as male so I can go part-time, and so I can pass in my freshly bought "dude" clothes.

October 10, 2010--The day I came out to my sister [as transgender] (that should be a movie title--it'd be awesome, lol).  There will be a date later on for when I come out to my parents, but that's still in the works.  I don't know if I should celebrate the first time I got told I look like a boy in person....that made my day, though.

Regular real-world holidays?  Love 'em!  Christmastime ... rock ON!    :D

@ The Unforgiven:

You Said:

Well, the only tranniversary (nice word, btw)that I have is the day I realized I was trans, which I consider to be the worst day of my life, but also good, because the fog finally cleared that day.

Perfect description ... "..., because the fog finally cleared that day."   Agree 100%.
Believe.  Persist.  Arrive.    :D

My "Tranniversary" for starting T was the day after my birthday. So really, I probably won't forget which day. Probably won't have much of an event on the day though.

Wow so many things are happening, I feel like I'm turning this thread into an update about me.  :) So here are two more updates:

10/30/10: First time presenting female at shooting range
11/01/10: Hair removal begins

Yes, I actually went to the gun range Saturday and shot a couple of 9 mm guns while dressed in my preferred female appearance. There were mostly men there but very few of them noticed anything unusual. Obviously the checkout person knew because I had to show ID to buy ammo and purchase range time. He didn't seem to care either.

Then Monday morning I went for my first facial hair removal consultation and treatment. Definitely painful and expensive but worth it. I'm starting laser first and electrolysis if needed second.

:)

I was already RLE the first time I went to the range.  The guys were very nice to me, even a little chivalrous, as I'm one of the few women who go there.

Go girl! :eusa_dance:  Keep pushing the edges of that comfort zone.
