So ... I'm in a bit of a bind.

My therapist has given me the go ahead for HRT, but all the names of people he's given me have either not responded to my phone calls or they are not accepting new patients.

I know there's some folks on the site that live in the Seattle Area, so I was hoping that I could get the name of a few good Endo's that I might be able to try.

Can anyone help?

Debra

Have you tried:

Linda Gromko (Seattle)
Cristopher Bosted (Seattle)

Thank you for the response!

I just found out about Dr. Gromko, I read she is hard to get in with.

I finally got hold of Dr. Heinen today, who is the person my therapist recommended at the top of his list.  Ihave an appointment with het next week.  Hope we click.  She has a reputation of being a great doctor.

By the way, I love your hair, Jerica!  I'm jealous!

Thanks !!! =)

Yes Gromko is hard to get in with. I goto Bosted and he's awesome and easier to get in with.

Hope it goes well with the one you found though!

Also consider (not an endo, but a trans-friendly internist who will work more-or-less on informed consent) Dr. Rongitsch at Pacific Medical Centers.

Yeah neither Gromko or Bosted are endos but you don't need an endo...just some doctor that has experience/specializes in HRT

Ya ... Dr. Heinen is a OB/GYN family doctor who has been working with the community for years it seems.  She isn't taking new patients normally, but she makes exceptions for "sexual minority" patients.

I've been going to Dr. Shalit, and also seen his PA-C George Froehle. I can recommend both. It's a very LGBT friendly office. Neither is an 'endo', but they take most insurance and have many TG patients I believe. I feel really comfortable there (being a newbie this was important to me).
