FAYETTEVILLE (WTVD) -- "Gender Bender Day" turned into student arrest day at a Fayetteville high school Thursday morning.

It all started when a 71st High School student says the principal told some students they were dressed inappropriately for "Gender Bender Day" -- part of spirit week where the boys dress like girls and the girls dress like boys -- and had to go home and change.

Arryn Tyler says she stood up and protested the principal's decision.

Good for her. Everyone needs to speak up about things like this. Where is this school?

Stupid dumb deputy.  He should have identified himself before hand.  His action were excessive.

Cumberland County officials may ban student cross-dressing during Spirit Week following a tussle at Seventy-First High School.

Officials said Arryn Tyler became disorderly Thursday after Principal Vanessa Alford objected to the girl's revealing attire.

"She was not covered well," Sheriff's Office spokeswoman Debbie Tanna said of Tyler's wardrobe.

The US deep south (although its North Carolina) does provide perks for its underpaid and undereducated police forces.  Any other place and time, the guy would be up on assault and sexual battery charges.  You gotta love it.  (In the first article, the girl DID take the right amount of her responsibility, now lets hope she can recover her hospital bills.  That would partially cover the responsibility of the local police farce.)

Wiser now about Post Op reality!!
