Hi everyone!
I've been on HRT for about 5 1/2 years; I've worn soft, extended-wear contact lenses most of the time before and during HRT.
I recently went to a new optometrist... My prescription changed (no surprise as I'm getting older) but he determined that, although both of my eyes have ALWAYS been the same, one eye had a slightly different strength than the other. He also measured my cornea as an 8.2 curve; I've ALWAYS had an 8.4. The contacts I got as a result of this appointment start to irritate my eyes after a few hours of wear.
Anyway, I know that estrogen can change the physiology of your eyes but has anyone experienced changes like mine or contact lens intolerance so late in the game? Or so suddenly? I don't have much confidence in my new optometrist but I wanted to check before I moved onto someone else.
Thanks!
