I signed up with a dating agency and just got this week's post.
Lots of guys in the age range I specified who look glum ready for the knacker's yard, lots who think they are God's gift to women and of course why are they using a dating service?  Maybe half look and read like nice ordinary guys.
Ash from Atlantic City, Noo Joisy, looks like he can't pass a McDonalds, Wayne from texas is cute and says he's not small minded - is that possible for a Texan?, Ecosse from Scotland wins most gorgeous as he has a nice smile and curly hair and has classic cars, Zakleni promises much and is good looking and lives in Libya, North Africa (for the geographically challenged) and as his leader Colonel Ghadafi is said to be a CD then maybe Zakleni could be accepting of a TS. 

Just need to get surgery over and done with so I can date with a purpose.

Dating sites are kind of tough... I've done trans dating sites before where the majority of guys are just trying to have that one night stand to satisfy their trans fetish, and I've done "normal" ones where I feel dishonest by not being upfront about my genitalia. Add in the difficulty of finding someone that is actually intellectually stimulating enough to want to have a relationship with and things have been very slow going. I've actually had more success from friends of friends than dating sites, so go figure.... I've come to the conclusion that I'm just bad at dating. I think this might change a bit after SRS, but I won't know until it happens.

I have been on a couple of different sites.  And I just done like the Trans-sites, as I feel like a someone sex toy.

And on the other sites I feel like I an lieing by not revealing my status.  Yes I know that I don't have to have intimate relations with anyone.  But I just don't want to have to cross that bridge, if you know what I mean.

I've had absolutely no luck whatsoever, at any time, with dating sites.  Once I send my pic, I never hear from them again.  The only person who ever responded back ended up being a huge perv.  Then there's the trans thing...which do I pick, m seeking m/f, or f seeking m/f, since I'm not transitioned yet, almost no one is going to see me as a dude.  I'm not even going to put on there that I'm trans or plan to transition.  If I actually ended up with a date, I'd tell them after a few dates.

I'm trying to navigate these waters currently and can't get past the fact that I'm male and then that my past significant other was male and how did you have kids thing.  You can only dodge answering for so long.

I've been thinking of putting a profile up on Trans Passions since i really wish i had SOMEONE. damn loneliness, but I'm afraid of either being attacked or sexualized as if i weren't even a human being. if there actually were people there who love to hurt transgendered people looking for a man or woman for no damn reason, that'll piss me off but if I'm eroticised then that'll be pretty damn uncomfortable too.

probably not smart of me to do that for at least a few months when i get started on my transitioning anyway, too much going on now, i forget to stay in contact with friends

i signed up recently to a really good one and iw as shocked at how many men love girls with something extra (pre-op ts) i talkd to a few men who genuinely wanted me to be their girlfriend even their wife
but the majority message you and talk to you like you should be greatful a guy wants to have sex you!

but mostly jsut men that want a first time experience.

i quit the dating site too. they dont seem to understand that most ts are on this journey to become a full woman. the amount of times men have told me if i went ahead with srs then they wouldnt be as attracted and it would be a problem ...lol i tell them that my problem is the thing you want me to keep :/

What about straight sites?  A couple of girlfriends have been encouraging me to sign up.  I would expect to let any guy know before I met him that I am trans (post-op – so of no interest to the ->-bleeped-<-s, I hope ).  I thought we could get to know each other a bit first, and then I'd drop the news before we met in person.

I get lonely and would like someone to think I was special, but most of the time it just seems like too much bother.

Online dating = bad news.  Girls, if you are attractive the guys will come to you, just put yourself out there.

I've met a few decent guys on-line, had to kiss alot of frogs, but didn't get the Prince.

IRL, we can get a better sense of whether you and that person are going to be compatible.
