Hello all, I've recently went to my hormone doctor and had my levels checked, new prescription, ect.

Well, he told me my testo was 38, and my estrogen was 2879.

That seems high to me, but I'm not a dr. Does that sound high to anyone else? He told me its "off the charts" and that phrase creeps me out. Is that dangerous? He said its where he wants me though, but still rather get some opinions from other people.

Its apparently causes me to have major mood swings, which I've noticed because lets just say, I've never been sent home from work before, and I was the other day....

Well, he's prescribing me an anti depressant to help with the mood swings. I was wondering, is that a good solution, or should I have him lower the dosage? He said I'm not on a high dosage as it is, and he didn't expect me to get that high so fast, said that I'm easily affected by drugs.

He's supposed to be a good dr for the area I'm in, so I'm trying to trust him, but everyone has been worrying about me cause its really affecting my moods and it seems high to everyone else too.

Well, any info would be much appreciated.

Your Estrogen sounds high.  You may wish to have he run them again.

T is commonly measured in ng/dl (nanograms per deciliter)
E in pg/ml (picograms per milliliter)
these are US units of measure, if you live in the EU metric units are different and need to be converted.

And if your E level is 2879 pg/ml something is very out of whack. Off the charts would be an understatement.
