I found out there is a support group in Bakersfield, thanks to Janet's link above. The next meeting is November 6, and I plan on going, even though I'm scared to death! I'll post more info after the meeting, if anyone's interested.

Awesome Paige.  By all means report your experiences.

As it turns out, there is a monthly support group and a weekly group therapy session, run by the same psychologist. She works under a psychiatrist and can write letters for HRT and SRS.

The group has both MTF and FTM members, and I have made some great friends there.

One of our members had SRS recently!

I am learning so much, and am now sure this is the path for me.

I have not asked about posting the group info publicly, but if you are in the area and want information, PM me and I will let you know who to contact.
