hey, is there anyone outhere, who is a 24/7 crossdresser without the desire to transition. someone who says that he is a he and not a she but has the desire to crossdresser all the time, because this is the way this person has to express himself, without the need to pass, although it wouldn't be that bad  if he passes  ;)

i really hope that someone answers my question. even if you aren't someone who crossdresses 24/7, i would be really glad what you have to say about this topic  :D

Probably I am the one. I sometimes want transition, but my circumstance does not allow it. I have lovely 3 kids and a dedicating wife, and I will never leave them without a dad and a husband during my life time.

Although usually I do not wear so boldy at my workplace, for example by wearing skirts or heels, my clothes and shoes are all women's. I teach in a unversity here, and people tend to be very conservative. Still I can express my feminity. I sometimes participate in international conferences, and have to wear trousers or even neck tie, but still can wear women's shoes and clothes. My colleagues and others know that I am a crossdresser, and most of them are now adapted to my image. Image is important.... My new image initially embarassed people, causing some debates, but as time passes, they have been accustomed to it.

An example of my fashion while I attended an international conference with my colleagues in Portland, US, last week:

The shoes was purchased at Walmart, Portland, last week. It was just $18! Without sales tax. It is women's, but still looks unisex. Tights and demin shorts. Plain jacket purchased at Walmart about 6 years ago. The top is purchased at Target last week in Portland.

A graduate student took the photo for me while I waited for a train to the airport. She always calls me as professor. Some aged professors sometimes comment on my fashion, but usually with jokes and smiles. It is actually me who is surprised at the adaptatability and flexibility of human whether they are young or old, or whether they are men or women. It does not matter. Even my dad, wife and kids accept my crossdressing far better than I initially supposed. As long as I sustain my family and do well in my professional career, it does not matter. Of course, most think that I am weird or something else... But I have an advantage because most people I firstly meet hardly forget me even in several years. I do not need a name card.

I think I am transgender. I think transsexual is not compatible with crossdresser. IMHO, transsexual is a psychiatric status whereas crossdressing is a behaviour. Genotype and phenotype are different.

I once visited a hospitcal here to get HRT after being approved by a psychiatrist. The doctor refused my request, and said he will approve it if my wife consents to it. I clearly told him that the highest priority in my life is my kids.  I laster talked this to my wife, and already said like I know well that you will not allow it.

I know of one person that does this in my area.  He really likes skirts (I've never seen him without one).  He has a government job (generally the most secure if you're different and are worried about discrimination).  Goes by a very male name, and has no interest in passing.  It's expression through clothes for him.

There's someone near here, too.  I know only a little of hir story.  I believe s/he identifies as male because I don't think s/he attempts to pass as a woman.  Still, s/he wears only women's clothes and uses a female name.  I've only seen this person once - at a football game.

Full time CD represent!

>.> <.< >.>

Is kind of strange I fell less serous then trans, and this was originally one of my big concerns with trying to just dawn female attire every day. It hasn't been so long I suppose. I fell a lot of pressure to pick a side tho still, as just a cross-dresser. I don't get gendered as a female ever, accept from behind on a few occasions. Despite this I have been treated as all sorts of genders at different times. Like one time i was at a store and bought a 3 letter of soda. After paying I started to drink it and the cashier actually stooped me saying that it was not very lady like `~`or some times people just don't know what to call me and stare for a bit `~`

I don't know maby it's not so good cause most of the time it's like I'm not male cause I'm not really masculine at all but at the same time women won't ever accept me as a female. At least some times I feel that way. Most of the time I don't think people really care and I don't pay no attention so it's all good. Especially cause some times it's not even that noticeable, if I'm not waring something really feminine.

I have been CDing for quite some time as well, I even have videos when i was like 4 and stuff, good times. But i didn't really CD publicly till high-school. And that was just public events. Can't really say why I also get that a lot.

I hope that was not too much ranting? Also sorry if my English is bad.

It's a dream of mine to go full time like that. Questions of gender identity aside, women's clothes (shoes, hairstyles etc.) just beat men's clothes hands down for style and beauty and variety and feeling nice! Sometimes I think men are really missing out.

When I was in China in a huge clothes market, one of the women asked me "why do you want to do that?" when I told her I liked to dress up. The first thing I thought  to answer was "just go down to the end of this corridor and tell me what you see". The end of the corridor was the beginning of the men's section and was full of boring navy blue and grey. She already guessed what I meant just from that. They had some lovely things in that market....but it is a (western) crossdresser's torture. Thousands of beautiful dresses that I will never fit into....

I personally get really scared when putting on the slightest amount of wight for this reason. I still find it really odd how I can shop in the children section and still find dresses that fit. I actually got a nice china dress because I know a girl who could not fit into hers but I could :P But I do see this happen a lot, how sad.

I have to agree that men's clothing are boring and dull.  I find that I want color and variety in my appearance.  I love some of the classy and elegant styles that women have: cardigans, sweaters, leggings, jeggings, blouses...  I too would love to wear the clothing that reflects myself and my mood.  Once crossdressers move beyond the fetish, fashion, style, and class are the prime motivators in expressing our femininity in my opinion.  Of course, comfort plays a big part in selecting clothing as well.

Hi, noeleena,

Thanks for your post to me. I have been too busy to visit this site during the past several weeks.

I do not desperately try to pass as a woman. I now think that it is a kind of life style, rather than a gender or sexual issue. People around me judge and evaluate me based on what I am doing as a professional, not on what I am wearing. Nevertheless, I have to be cautious, as I am an educator. Attitudes and expectations for educators here are somewhat different from western cultures. Young students accept my crossdressing very well, but the problem is aged professors. They say that they worry about the young students, but the fact is nowadays youngsters here do not care about whatever people wear.

I think that I am getting old and will not pass so well in a few years. Whether I pass or not, it will be my unique lifestyle rather than crossdressing.

I'm sure that's true.  I've always tried to be the person that if you meet me a couple of times you wouldn't remember me a second later, but the people who've worked with me never forget me.
FIGHT APATHY!, or don't...

I would love to go full time, 24/7.   I love wearing dresses , skirts and so on, they feel so much more comfortable than my male clothes.  It even feels natural to me wearing a skirt or dress, more so than male clothing.  Alas!  tho.  I can not go full time.  Circumstances at this time will not allow it.  So, for me, it will have to remain a dream, for now.

I got a comment on the weekend at the grocery store. The checkout girl, who I didn't recognise, asked if I wanted a loyalty card; you know the things, get 5 cents off when you buy $500 of stuff  . I replied do you think that will make me loyal (as  joke). No need she said we all recognise you, even if you are dressed as a guy (I'm almost FT female now). I asked How? 'cos you wear the most gorgeous ear rings.

Hmm time to go FT?

Sounds like it, Cindy. ;)  Go for it girl! :eusa_dance:

Most of my life I was invisible or thought I was.  After I went full time I stopped at a restaurant for lunch on the way to my sister's house.  I had been to that restaurant only once before, six months earlier.  I walked in and the hostess greeted me warmly and said enthusiastically: "I waited on you the last time you were here!"

All I could think was that I'm not invisible anymore now that I'm Kate. ::)

Yes. People recognize me too well.

While running outdoors, I usually wear a mask covering nearly all of my head, because the sun here is too strong (as the air is so much clean). But people recognize me so well. Some of my colleagues and friends, and even my students, say that they saw me in their cars. I asked how they can recognize me without seeing my face. Some of them replied that my physique is just so much unique, and they can guess it's me.

I do not like these instances, but of course there are a few happy episodes.

Nowadays I go to the airport nearly every week for trip. There are several airliners, and staffs there always ask me photo ID. A charming lady there once said to me that she remembered that she had once received me. I replied that I seldom choose her airline. A week ago, I happened to be again in the line of her desk. She no longer asked my ID. I may have better always choose flights of her company.

Hi Barbie,

I had to comment on the lovely picture from Portland.  When I saw it before reading the text I thought, "wow,  public transit stations there look like the ones in Portland"  I hope you enjoyed your stay here, its a great city.  I have lived here most of my  life.

Hi PhSensei,

Yes. Portland was a memorable city to me. A few weeks ago, I stayed at Hamburg, Germany. Public rail system there was very nice and affordable. By the way, in January, I visited Tokyo suburban area, and the public transport there was too much expensive.

You can see some scenereis from where I live now:
