Hello,
My name is Bert and I'm a self- diagnosed transvestite looking for some kind of balance in the world of gender. Because of Self adornment... tattoos, dreadlocks etc.. Passing is neither desirable or possible. I feel at this point in my life it also does not matter. I have been out to my wife since 2004, and my kids are figuring out the obvious. I began psychotherapy last year and that seems to be going well enough. What I'm really doing here is uncertain, but like so many other things in my life, it seems necessary. Thought I'd say hello and hope to meet some new friends with common denominators.

Hi Dedbonz, :icon_wave:

Welcome to our little family. Over 4100 strong. That would be one heck of a family reunion.

Feel free to post your successes/failures, Hopes/dreams.  Ask questions and seek answers. Give and receive advice.

But remember we are family here, your family now. And it is always nice to have another member. :icon_hug:

And be sure to check out these links ( MUST READS )

Hugs and Love,
Janet

Welcome Bert! The sanity you crave is at hand. Within time all things will work themselves out. My advice is to take things one step at a time. :)

Be kinder than necessary because everyone is fighting some kind of battle.

It's never too late to be who you should have been.

I appreciate all the warm welcomes and invites, I have difficulties expressing myself in a productive manner, but will attempt to work on that!

Welcome Bert!
I'm not sure why you feel dreads and tattoos are a detriment to passing; there are plenty of women sporting them. Unless the tattoo design somehow screams 'man!'

Actually my tattoos are almost overly masculine, I did that on purpose as a means to balance myself out and really keep unable to hide myself from myself, sounds a bit crazy I know, but there seems to be a means to an end, my next major piece of ink will be a mirrored shape of my right arm, but entirely feminine in nature. I'm really excited to see what my artist comes up with!
