I have a question. As an anime/manga fanboy i've always seen those somewhat feminine, non hairy men to be very attractive. In the real world, I've found most of my very cute adorable male friends are very hairy and it irks me lol. I'm not really sure what it is, but I find men with hair anywhere but on their arms, head, and face to be a turn off. Me myself, I keep unarm hair and leg hair at what I deem an acceptable length (between .5 - 1 inch). I find long hair on faces to also be a turn off. I prefer a nicely shaved face or only a small 'clean' looking amount. However, I know that I am, despite this, still very gay. So i'm just curious, are there any other ftm's gay or not, who also find long body hair on men a turn off?

I'm a gay ftm who doesn't like (much) body hair. Legs don't bother me, really, but I strongly dislike hairy chests, backs, faces, and butts, and I tend to prefer fairly sparse hair on upper arms and thighs.

(Oddly, I'm totally not into the androgynous look, especially anime/manga. I like my guys to look definitively male...square jaws, muscles, brow ridges, prominent noses, broad shoulders...just not hairy.)

We're in the minority here, though. Where this subject has been brought up, most Susan's members (male and female) who are attracted to men have said that they like body hair.

Glad to know i'm not totally alone =D I was a bit worried I was going to end up the only guy who has a thing about body hair lol. I suppose you've defined it very well, I like my guys somewhat androgynous I just never really noticed before. I like softer facial features with very little/no hair, but at the same time I definitely don't mind well defined shoulders and muscle!

When I was younger I used to be more fussed about body hair.  Now I don't mind it at all - except back hair.  I am certainly not interested in a man with a hairy back unless he shaves it!  Also beards - don't find them attractive.  Sideburns though ....   

As a straight female, I prefer having a partner who's less hairy than me (this still leaves lots of room, anyway...) but still masculine, not someone who could pass as a woman basically. I also noticed lots of anime fans like the "bishie" look but still call themselves androphilic - I can't understand that honestly, most bishies look like women with weird torsoes and penises. I've asked some yaoi fans I know in real life and most of these girls are bisexual or lesbians, which I can understand better. Some have also hypothesized most anime fangirls like the "bishie" look because they would feel intimidated by a more masculine man...which I never did because I grew up with males lol. So I ask, why are some people attracted to the extreme androgyny of the "bishonen male" still calling themselves androphilic? It's a honest question, honestly 

I don't care for body hair either. But if I really like the other person I can get over it.

I like my guys more bishie looking.

I honestly don't know why you're here to be honest.

However, to answer your question, "most bishies look like women with weird torsoes and penises" I am not into women with penises - no offense to the lovely pre op ladies we have here -.  I am into more boyish/feminine looking men, that's it. I guess you could say twinks, it's the same thing. I like the middle of the gender spectrum leaning towards men.

I am not sure what yaoi you're looking at, but what I usually read, they definitely look like men not women. If they ever end up looking like women with penises then I won't be interested in looking at it.

Sort of the all-American man in gay porn look - which is overly waxed and whatnot except if the person comes from specifically non-hairy gene pools.

That said: my reality has been involvement mostly with men who have hair, because most men do, and other traits are more important to me than hair (which can be waxed, shaved or otherwise temporarily disposed of anyway).

I'd take a hairy guy who is masculine over a hairness fem or andro guy any day.

I find women a complete turn off. When I went through my "I have no idea what sexual preference I am/have" stage I dated a girl and took a read about FxF stuff. I couldn't watch any porn about lesbians, I couldn't even READ questions lesbians had about their sex lives with their partners. It's such a turn off for me. But the same went with the idea as being treated like one of those women by a man. Grossness. I have always hated the feeling of having my breasts touched (by myself or by a partner) and i've never felt comfortable with anyone going, "downtown". I simply have gotten to the point of ignoring my female parts. Even during masturbation I don't ever really think about it because it seems to weird. So anyways, all in all, I am not attracted to females. Period. Females and I just do not get along. I am a male who is very attracted, sexually, mentally and physically to other males. However, I do prefer my men more bishie looking. It's just my preference and what i'm more attracted to. I find the female body 100% off putting but I find hairless, 'soft' men very attractive. While I do believe I could truly get over it if I fell head over boots for a hairy guy, but at the same time, lots of hair, I dunno just bugs me.  But on the other side of the coin, yes I like a slightly more feminine male to say a hairy chested muscle machine but I don't want my guy to look like a girl. He has to be a definite male, just on the softer side. I don't need a guy with huge biceps and an impressive six pack with long leg hair. No thanks. But I also don't want a guy who I could put into a dress and you wouldn't be able to determine if he was male or female.

I did not want to make fun of FTMs with such names, teasing people is absolutely the opposite of what I want to do. I was just asking why many FTMs chose Aiden or Chris as their names, when it's a pretty big signifier having "Aiden" as a name if you know something about FTMs (I honestly have seen just FTMs named "Aiden" or variations, I don't live in the USA though. Is it a popular baby's names now?), and also why many FTMs seem to be so undecided when changing names. I also commented on dwb's blog because, as hateful as her comments can be, I think she made good points in posts such as "the dangers of breast binding" and "you might be trans if...". I disapprove of some of her actions, like putting on her blog the photos of transitioning FTMs, the fact she disqualifies transsexuality as a valid condition without much proof, and if I comment on her blog I don't have to agree with her, it's called freedom of speech you know! Many FTMs and people who support them have also commented in her open days discussions, and I think the last two were particularly meaningful, because at least there was a civil discussion between (mainly) two sides! Which is something that really can't be said here. Anyway, the reason I am still here is because I mainly want to gather data coming from pro-trans places. I think I have to hear both sides in order to draw a conclusion. I don't remember if I typed delusion, really, but I do agree there is a tendency, not so much in this forum but in others, not to accept contrary views which reminds me of a cult. And you really cannot deny the potential dangers of hormonal and surgical treatment really. Lots of trans guys choose Aiden as a name or some sort of name ending in "den" (Kayden, Jayden etc) now because it's popular. It's not some sort of "cue" they are trying to send out to people that they're trans. And I honestly don't know any guys who are undecided about their name who change it every month either.

I don't think I have left hateful comments anywhere. I might disagree with you or other people, but it doesn't mean I don't respect them nor their rights, or their humanity. I have always strided to be civil in my comments, hurting someone else is the least thing I want to do especially with TS people seeing how most of them are depressed. I'm agnostic while some of my friends are Christians- I don't share their belief, but I also love them as friends (I also know this is not the best analogy ever, because religion and transsexuality are different things, but I hope you get the point).

Back to topic...I saw some of the guys you posted, and they look male to me (the last one is a replica version of a guy I know, I swear!). I also have a thing for asian boys. Not just the bishie type either. I like em all. Jrockers are also very very hot indeed. The only Jrocker who doesn't look totally male IMO is Miyavi. But if anything he is very pretty guy. If you saw Mana without photoshop, you can tell he's definitely a man. Same goes for Kaya.

The Japanese culture is very different in regards to what is considered masculine. I know most Americans consider Asian men very feminine (even the ones who aren't "metro"). All men there trim their eyebrows because it's considered rude not too. Younger Japanese guys tend to go for the metro pretty boy look.

If you've seen hosts boys, that's their (most women) version of the perfect man. In American, people would say they look gay if anything. It just depends on the culture really.

Sorry Sebastian, I've been reading the thread and really wanted to answer but as of now I'm only with women. If I dated a man though I'd prefer him hairless except for the head, arms and face area though. I feel oddly like that is my own double standard though because I would want him to be hairless when I'm not. Also, the only men I find attractive tend to be very masculine.

Aha I don't mind =) I've found a lot of my female friends really like hairy guys and being like I am I could never understand that lol, so I welcome your input! I too, am more sexually attracted to men who are either thin/lean or slightly/moderately muscled. However again on the other end of the spectrum, too much muscle I would find a bit intimidating, probably since I'm more of a dominant type.
